Here's the quote from The Gazette about the DHS illness. I hope it's minor and he's ready for Towson. If not, we need him for Lowell and WVa.
Due to Cross’ foul trouble, and the fact that forward Daniel Hankins-Sanford played only three minutes due to an illness, Cohen had to take on a bigger role. The Saint Francis transfer played a season-high 35 minutes on the night.

Bruh, relax. He’s a really nice guy with autism who is a diehard UMass fan. Has never done anything wrong.
People on Twitter say otherwise. And even if you're right, he can't sit someplace else? It has to be in our perpetually empty student section?

No more bitching about student attendance if so. Students would probably want the student section to be a student section.
He might be a nice guy. He definitely has done things the school deemed “wrong”. Turtleboy reported on it, years ago. Autism is a disability that can hinder someone’s ability to identify or act appropriate in social settings. So, both things may be true. He may do things that are not socially acceptable. He may not. I don’t think he is “the reason” students aren’t in the student section, and also think UMass should do more to keep the student section for students.
Looks like there was 1 incident with a WLAX player but never got the whole story about what happened there.

I don’t know the whole story either, just that the school, at the time, prohibited him from attending women’s sporting events and instituted a few other restrictions. My point is people with autism are by definition people who have difficulty navigating social situations and can as a result break social norms. I can’t imagine the school would take the actions they did if it were one incident.i definitely could be wrong about that, though.

I like wins, but that was beyond ugly. Congrats to the 10k putt winner!

Juice Stand wrote: Sun Dec 03, 2023 7:39 am I read in the Gazette recap this morning that DHS was dealing with an illness. I also saw the play where he came down awkwardly, so it's no surprise that he sat the rest of the game, especially since we had a decent lead for most of the second half. https://articles.gazettenet.com/UMass-m ... n-53234531

On another note, look at Ndjigue's stat line: 7 pts, 8 reb, 2 assists, 2 blk, 2 steals. That is a complete game, and he played defense on USF's best player and held him to 1/13 shooting. That's insane. I can't wait to watch him as the competition continues to improve. From the Collegian: https://dailycollegian.com/2023/12/in-f ... -glue-guy/
He really should have scheduled that game.
What game are you referring to?

Referring to the 10-day gap in the schedule from the CCSU game to the USF game.
“It's too big a break, too big a break after practicing every day since late September sometime,” Martin said. “Too big a break between games. Our guys were in a good routine and a good rhythm. I had an opportunity to schedule game either Monday or Tuesday of this week, and I chose not to.”

I didn't see that, thanks. Yes, he definitely should have. He clearly changed his tune after seeing the way they came out against USF. It must have been a real lower level team or a D2 team. I don't know why he'd ever not schedule it.

South Florida up 14 on Florida State in Sunrise. College sports are wonky man. It’s their first game since playing us.

Edit - Quickly up to 19. Florida state is better than last year too.

If you look at our out of conference schedule, we have played and beaten some really good teams such as UMass Lowell (13-4, #1 in Am East) and USF (10-5 overall, 3-1 in Am Atheltic with 3 ranked teams) and we should have beaten GTech and had the opportunity to play Nevada or TCU to build our resume. Let’s face the facts, the A10 is much better this year when you consider St. Joe (1-3 in conference play) and Duquesne is 0-4 in conference play, which means that there really isn’t a cupcake on the schedule in the A10.
