Yes!! My alma mater. Go Aztecs!
Lived here in SD for over 50 years now and the Aztecs are my "adopted" team. If you want to see how a program can be built, look at their history, going back to Steve Fisher's hiring. Hmmmm. competency and continuity - is there a lesson here?

Hope they can get back down to earth for Sunday's game and make FF. Don't want UConn to advance, but if they do, nothing would be sweeter than to have SDSU knock them off. Damn, feels almost like 1996 again :)

UConn's going to win the whole thing again. They're the best team left in the tournament.

They are rolling. Hurley is a hell of a coach. 4 national titles since ‘99 and on their way to a fifth. We have one tournament appearance and zero tourney wins over that same stretch. That is depressing.

I'll take their Chaz clone over Chaz all day long.

Ex-Florida assistant, Dusty May, is what we wish that Matt McCall would have become.

So true!

Bamford would have scared him away before the welcome press conference.

Kudos to San Diego St for getting to the Final Four. Not sure if they caught a lot of flack for turning over the program to a 58 year old assistant who had never been a HC, but it worked out.

Nope, never an issue. Dutcher was named "Head Coach in Waiting" a few years before Fisher retired (I cannot recall how they got that through the State's hiring process). During Fisher's last couple of years Dutcher was, for all practical purposes, the head coach. Seamless transition.

I hate yo say it, but I also think UConn will win the tournament. Their defense is really good. They have a lot of quickness, plus some out side shooters too.

Here’s a little trivia.

Who is SDSU’s all time assist leader?

HINT: He’s in the baseball HOF

No googling!
