I was at the game and just looked it up to verify what I thought I remembered. They were killing us and little bro was embarrasing big bro. The whole team turned it around in the second half, especially Rashaan, and we won 85-84.

I was scratching my head wondering why other than VCU...Dayton's withdrawal from the post season notwithstanding....only Duquesne is in the post season but not the NIT. The VCU is summarily sent packing.

Sucks to be the A-10 right now.

You are right about the conference but wrong about the game. St. Mary's has been a perennial top 25 team for the last 5 years and for a reason.

The Holloway brothers were gracious guys. We were there for a while after the game ended…might’ve been one where they let kids shoot hoops after the game. Anyway, their father was there too. After they exchanged jerseys and took pics with him, they were nice enough to pose for pics with my grandkids…then 4 & 6.

Tennessee lost their point guard to an ACL injury at the end of the regular season but just beat Duke convincingly to go to the Sweet 16.

Just got a classic “No doubt about it.” from Lappas on the MSU-Marquette. Ah, memories!

Its been a decent tournament so far and would nice to see Princeton advance, but they wont.

Elite 8: Alabama, Creighton, FAU*, Kansas St, Miami, Texas, UConn, UCLA
Final 4: Alabama, FAU*, Texas, UCLA (only because I just cant type UConn here..they may win though)
Final: Alabama beats Texas in epic 3 OT thriller..104-102

*FAU was my sleeper pick to make it to at least elite 8 but after what that idiot did at end of the game last night i'd say they likely lose now (I think he may have hurt himself too).

As long as UConn doesn't win the National Championship, I'm a happy camper. Last night Clark Kellogg or Kenny Smith or somebody said UConn was going to win it all. :(

hope this is the year the Zags finally do it. Timme is not gonna like taking a paycut to go to the NBA.

Alabama seems like they'll steamroll into the Final 4. I have Houston winning it all, but am not loving that pick at this point.

Agree on UConn, anybody but them.

Hopefully, there's few enough games left that Lappas is done for the year.

Not sure where to put this but it looks like Cooley is going to leave PC and head to Georgetown.

Not tournament related but didn't know where to put this.

St. Francis College in Brooklyn announced on Monday that its entire athletics program will be eliminated effective at the conclusion of the Spring 2023 semester St. Francis athletics director Irma Garcia said in a statement. St. Francis will honor all academic and athletic scholarships for those who want to continue to attend the school at least! The hoop team, which began in 1901, played in Division I the Northeast Conference.

The Cooley situation sucks for Providence. Don’t think it changes CBB too much, this stuff is already happening all the time with players and coaches. Will be fascinating to see how Georgetown and PC shake out the next few years.

As a side note, PC has some impressively delusional fans. A lot of them really were thinking Billy Donovan is coming to replace Cooley. I also saw Brad Stevens, which I’ll assume is a joke.

Your longtime, homegrown coach, just left you in the cold to take over one of the crappiest programs in recent history. PC can’t be THAT desirable considering. Of course it’s a much better job than UMass and they should be able to find a great coach. Hopefully the new coach schedules us again.

^ $6 million a year would get my attention.

^2nd highest paid coach after Calipari now

Close Providence friend of mine said that Georgetown didn't follow league protocols to inform President and AD before reaching out to any coaching employees - there will be an investigation

Plus Cooley listed his house for sale on March 3 - everyone knew this was going to happen
