Looks like he is still searching for that bag... would be kinda funny if he ends up somewhere with a smaller NIL deal than if he stayed
I have a feeling he will give UMass a chance to match whatever he is offered. IMO there's no scenario where Frank doesn't take him back. I'm sure Frank or one of the assistants has asked him to please make a decision good or bad by a certain date so they can go in another direction. My guess is these will be Matt's last visits before he makes a decision.
Isn't there a max OV's one can take? I thought it was 4 but again, that was pre-NIL so maybe thats changed too?

Pure speculation on my part but it feels like he's getting bad advice.

I think Cross went to 3 or 4 different high schools and this would be his 4th college.
How many times you think he'll get married?

My 77 year old mother got proposed to by her 87 year old 4x married boyfriend! They’ll keep getting married until they run out of time or eligibility!

Now, I would assume, we get some commits.
He will be my favorite Mustang but I'll miss him here.
Hopefully we can find another Matt Cross to drive the bus...

We will miss Matt in a UMass uniform but wish him and his family the best.
He was a class act to work with from the Mass Co perspective and one of my personal favorite players to ever play for UMass.

Ok, so there it is. I wish him well, he was such a horse for us for two years and he graduates with a UMass degree. Now that we all know where he'll be next season, let's hear some news this weekend and get our roster set.

I find it funny for not only Matt but for all these other kids to come out on X and post in huge letters - COMMITTED - committed my ass! All they care about is the money and the clicks they get on social media. If Matt really cared about winning he would not be going to SMU. They will be 4-16 in the ACC this year - I'm sure Matt will miss 4-5 games with either injuries and illness and he will be half the player he was here at UMass. Great way to end your college career - he had a chance to be one of the greats here at UMass. Career wise he got some really bad advice. He might have gotten more money at SMU but what about the rest of his life? He had a chance to be POY next year in the A-10 and really open some eyes - in the ACC he won't even be the 50th best player.

^ My sentiments exactly, these kids want instant gratification based on greed. This move on the surface appears to be that, strictly monetary as SMU has a less chance at the NCAA than we would've had with Matt!
