a couple years ago, in one of the best games from that season, Tre Mitchell and Noah were out with injuries. Carl Pierre and Cairo McCrory stepped up, and Uncle Mark absolutely shocked them, including a dagger of a 3 with a couple minutes left in the game. loved seeing him shock them like he did

I just posted this in the point spread thread. This crap has to end, doesn't it? From Jay Burnham (It's UM, not MM):
MM will be without Cross, Fernandes, Martin and Dominguez (non-covid illness).

Whatever. Just don't quit. Keep your head up and improve. This is ridiculous at this point.

I guess the news about Cross is good though. No longer on crutches, so maybe we see him back at some point.

So we are going into the game with 8 players

TJ, Luis, Diggins, Keon, Gapare, Kante, WL, Gianni.

Not sure what the plan for minutes will be but the lineup that started the comeback last game was the big lineup of
TJ, Luis, Gapare, Kante, WL.
Hope to see that 5 together again. If there was ever a time for a breakout game from a bench player it’s today.

Leveque owes me 20 more push ups! He’s shooting like 15% from 3-point land.

Playing tough. Keep it up and let’s get out of there with a W.

Who was being honored at halftime?

Everyone has scored and URI is having a hard time finding a bucket. Let's keep it up.

^They are honoring the Rhody 87-88 team and 97-98 team I guess

I can hardly figure out who is playing for us half the time. Don't recognize the players.

Once they stopped turning it over they took a little bit of control. Going big and going zone seemed to work well. Like how active Gianni is out there and nice to see a couple of shots go in for Gapare.

Don’t think Rhody is very good at all but we need to have a better second half then what we’ve had as of late. A little scary to only be up 8 while outshooting Rhody by over 20% from the floor.

I think this is a Gapare career day.

When was the last time that the three leading scorers for UMass in a game were all freshmen?

This was a throwback game today. Double post screens? Can’t say you see that in a game consistently in this era of basketball. I miss it.
