I agree - however - it's Cross and he is an absolute warrior - if its just an illness and not an injury I can't see him not playing. Although if he was out it would be pretty cool for Papa Gapare to see Tafara get some extended PT in person!

Frank said in the Richmond post-game that Matt was beat up. Probably needs the rest. Can't overuse him with heavy minutes or he'll be spent for year end

If Noah & TJ are a go, I'd like to see them used in limited minutes if at all. Let Rahsool & Keon get the bulk. No need to sacrifice late season availability for those 2 if Rahsool & Keon can manage the game

UMass Injury Report, per HC Frank Martin:

F Matt Cross (non-covid related illness) did not practice. QUESTIONABLE vs Duquesne.

G TJ Weeks (knee) practiced in full today and should be ACTIVE.

G Noah Fernandes (ankle) is progressing but still limited in practice. QUESTIONABLE.

If these three guys can’t start, I’d go with, Diggins, Keon, DD, RJ and Leveque. Play Kante, Gapare and any of Noah, TJ, Matt off the bench depending on their health.

Whenever UMass plays Duquesne pleasant memories of Alex Eldridge eating Norm Nixon’s lunch in the Springfield CC when the Cage was being refurbished….I wanna say 1975-ish. 8)

It was either '76 or "77..if my memory serves me correctly, I think Jim Town misses a free throw and Duquesne goes the other way and hits a shot for the W... I think it was a high scoring affair and Mike Pyatt had a big game...I may be totally off but that's my recollection

For some reason I thought UMass won that game….with Eldridge’s performance being the reason why.

Too bad the archives aren’t loading on my phone.

I am for sure old.. I just looked that game up.. we both were partially correct … UMass did win the game.. it was high scoring (110-97)… Pyatt had a big game 16 points, 9 boards..

That's our starting lineup. We are going small today. Interesting...
