Nice win! Team and Martin looked much more relaxed.

Nice win guys. Really good all around effort. Richmond is a well disciplined team, so this is a key W.

Gutsy, gutsy win in front of a small crowd, which is tough. Not blaming anyone for the crowd, just an observation.

UMass played a solid game for almost the full 40. Richmond was solid and Burton hit some tough shots, but the Minutemen showed a ton of poise and balls, never let it get away, and took over in the last 2 minutes.

No reason Diggins can’t be this guy more often. He has the talent. Didn’t play at UConn, just had a kid, so a slow start isn’t odd.

Happy for the team and let’s see if they can make it 2 in a row Saturday.

Welp I wasn’t expecting a 12-0 run to end the game. Lots and lots of free throws killed any type of flow, but we played well overall I thought and made winning plays down the stretch.

Lots of good to take out of this one. Limited the turnovers, better defense against a unique offense, RJ was obviously great, Cross was his usual active self and if Diggins really is turning the corner with his shooting that would really make our team interesting when Noah gets back.

Anywho, I just want to see them build off this and put together a little run here.

Luis has to be the best freshman we have had in a lot of years. How did we ever get him to come to UMass?

Now that was a gritty effort and just what everyone needed players, coaches, parents and fans. We’re all in this together and these kids worked for this one. They beat a good team that is well coached. Nice bounce back win - now onto the next one - it’s a learning curve and tonight they played together and got the W.

Really great win, Congrats to Coach Martin on #300. Cross is such a force, making some really big plays. Luis might not score as much as expected if Rahsool can shoot like he's done this week. Kid starts his A10 career going 1 for 8 on 3s in his first 4 games, then goes 7 for 11 in the last 2 games. Hits huge shots when needed. Wildens and Isaac did well even though Quinn had his biggest game of the season. If you told me DD wouldn't make a single shot, I'd think Richmond would win easily. But he only took 2 shots and was perfect 8 for 8 at the line, as well as playing nice defense in key spots.

Not in that case. He left his man (their best player) to stand in the middle of the lane and couldn’t get out to defend the 3. There’s a reason he has hardly played this half.
On at least one if not two of the blocks he was able to recover. He hopefully will learn where to be soon on both the offense of defensive ends.

I thought it was one of our best games this year. Diggins played more than admirably at the point 6 assists 0 turnovers 4-5 all 3 pointers.cross a big game 16/9.
Luis reaalybig 23 points 5 bounds. Dominique’s 0 field goals on only 2 shots taken 8-8 from the line Key block and a steal at end and great Aleoop pas to Levesque fro a dunk at a key moment.even Kanye and levesques had their moments. A very good test that has given us fits over the years.
Go UMass!

That's a solid comeback win. Held UR scoreless over the final 3 minutes, in no small part due to Cross' mammoth offensive rebound to keep the possession alive, which led to the Dyondre-Wildens alley-oop. Massive cajones play.

All three guards played under control and shot the ball well. 39 points, 7 threes, 14 assists, 1 turnover.

One block, not two. He is a work in progress but we need to balance his development with winning games.

Big win tonight against a good team. Congratulations to the players and coaches, especially Coach Martin on win # 300! Nice to see Diggins play well at the point…. he had a great game. RJ continues to impress, and Matt Cross always battles on both ends of the Court. Having a couple of guys out can benefit the guys that do play…. it shortens the rotation and helps them stay in a rhythm. Hopefully tonight’s game, and adding a healthy Noah Fernandez back into the mix will bode well for this team moving forward in A10 play.
