Disgraceful.
Re: Game 12, 2022-23: Dartmouth (12/20)
We kind of stink without Noah so far
All due respect, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart, I'm gonna pass.

Look I know defense has been poor against what should be inferior talent. HOWEVER, our offense!!! Dartmouth is playing a very sagging zone. This Makes it difficult to get ball inside. BUT, we can get wide open 3’s. Cross missed a couple early shots then became afraid to shoot several wide open looks. Finally took it at end of half. Now….only our shooters should be taking them. That means Cross, Weeks, Domingues, and maybe Gapare. Others should not be shooting 3’s.

Agreed on the shooters, both pg’s should have the red light.
Just need to make some layups off second chance points.

We are really not that good. Horrible from 3. Not even close. Just seem uninspired.

Thank god for Weeks.
Re: Game 12, 2022-23: Dartmouth (12/20)
Starting to see some flashes of things I like but this has been painful against a shorthanded Ivey underling.
Let's just win this one and keep practicing on our weaknesses.

Luis is playing PG ahead of Keon right now and Keon has no fouls. RJ has three.
Man, Gapare is still a work in process but he's showing glimpses of excellence. He's looking physically bigger as well, like he's been in the weight room with DD.

RJ passes so nicely against the zone. We are going to need that this season.

Well, that was a completely agonizing first 30 minutes. Somewhat encouraging finish. Very pleased to see Frank sit Laveque, both point guards, and Martin for most of 2nd. We’ll need all those guys moving forward, but they weren’t getting it done tonight. Going big worked.

I hate watching these kind of games. Not very entertaining.

Once Frank made the move to go without a PG the game started to turn.
Re: Game 12, 2022-23: Dartmouth (12/20)
Tough to watch for awhile but fairly encouraging finish. I think Matt Cross is our best player but Fernandes is our most important player — our point guards are killing us out there. Diggins and Thompson are 18 for 60 in the 4 games Fernandes has been out and very rarely make the game easier for their teammates. And then in the paint, Leveque is playing himself into the doghouse it seems.
At any rate, even in an A10 that has struggled a bit during non-conference play, we are going to need to play much better — especially offensively if we are going to finish in the Top 5.
Happy Cross keeps scrapping. Dyondre continues to blossom. Gapare shows glimpses and TJ found his shot tonight. Dartmouth scored just 7 points in about a 12 minute stretch when we took control. Those are the positives.
I’ve expected a lot of slogs like this — maybe not to this extent — but hey 9-3 is better than 4-8. Games before and after holidays are always interesting and usually not in a good way.
Hopefully they come out of the break with a healthy Noah and start to put together complete games. They need to be better.

Re: Game 12, 2022-23: Dartmouth (12/20)
just hope the team that was 6-1 after several good wins with Noah improves in many ways before conference play. Ought to be some learning from the painful 5 games without Noah. None of those games were up to par.
A win is a win but certainly unsatisfying tonight. Being tied 50-50 with under 8 minutes left in the game vs one of the lesser Ivy teams playing without 3 key players, that shouldn't happen. Hard to believe Rahsool, who looks like he has good shooting form, is 1 on 12 FTs this season. Also hard to understand what's going on with Wildens, who seems like a fine player, has a total of 7 points in the last 5 games. Great to see TJ back in the groove, and Matt Cross and DD continue to impress.
