That would explain a lot. At first I thought Wildens may have been injured since he didn't start. Let's hope they can all rest up a bit over Christmas and recharge for conference play. 9-3 is a nice start to the season
The flu situation makes me feel better about their coming back to win by 11 after being down 10 6 minutes into the 2nd half.

They looked tired, and I wonder if Frank is grinding them a bit too hard. He really ripped into Wildens at one point and I think everyone heard it. They looked a little beaten down

DD deserves more minutes. His energy and skillset really was a key tonight, and TJ was clutch. Need to find ways to get TJ more open looks, he's by far our best shooter.

I liked the lineup with TJ, RJ, Cross, DD, and Tafara. All can score and played good D. Would love to see a few baseline lobs to Tafara on drives, he's so long and jumps out of the building, and it was there tonight a few times

Wasn't pretty, but we'll take the W
I would hope everyone heard it there were only about 1,000 people there...

My daughter's family was over to light the menorah and to eat some latkes. When they left, I tuned it in on NESN and saw how empty the place was.

Gotta say...the Springfield paper's coverage was absolutely horrible. That article said the halftime score was 38-25 Dartmouth, when it was 35-28, and said UMass' next game was Saturday at St. Bonaventure when, as we all know, their next game is a week from Saturday.

The no pg, no center lineup started the second half run. Kante subbed in and kept the run going. Hopefully Frank turns to this lineup again next game.

Exactly what I was worried about after the Hofstra game...At least they have 11 days off now and I don't think it had anything to do with them losing the way they did against North Texas. Unless that explains how and why they ran out of steam in the 2nd.

Coverage is always horrible if covered at all! Their sports pages are pathetic.

Weeks is our best shooter? By far? I think Noah Fernandes would like a word. Weeks has been inconsistent at best. He shows these flashes of shot-making but ultimately he’s streaky and doesn’t look for his own shot, and goes quiet for long stretches. We need Noah back.

I wasn't really factoring Noah in since gets been out, but you're right. Noah is a good shooter. My mistake
