Don’t feed the board troll, easier to ignore his posts.

I'm new to this chat group but an avid follower of Minutemen since 1990 who didn't know the site existed. I attended Mullins Madness, and both the AIC and CCSU games (and I'd agree with the 3-3,500 attendance estimate). Here are my thoughts:
* First, I've attended an average of 4-5 mens home games every year for 32 years and despite CCSU's poor rankings, conference and prospects, they were no slouches. Their star - Amos looks to have future pro level skills, confidence and athleticism. Their guards could light it up from 3 pt land, and their big man didn't look - though listed at 6-8" - much smaller than wildens - not to mention Kante who is listed at 6-7". They also had a solidly built 6-6" front court player and a thinner late game addition who was about wildens height. They played quite intense and well organized defense that challenged our offense. I think they could have beaten 3-4 other A-10 teams the way they played.
*DD wasn't even recognizable (at least in 2nd half) as the guy who played for us the last 3 years. His confidence and execution was beyond belief and promises good things for us this season if he can sustain it. We'll have 4 big men - either by height/muscle or height/length (Wildens/kante & DD/Gapare) who can protect the rim, rebound and provide some offense inside. This is a very new phenomenon.
*Wildens and Kante also showed some prowess on offense with baby hooks and floaters whereas umass big men (other then Tre Mitchell) of recent decades didn't have these moves and could only shoot facing the basket and get stuffed;
*TJ and were playing again as they had at their very best in the past. Smooth and confident.
*The new small guards - Thompson and diggins showed alot of promise as tough defenders (especially Kion), ball handlers and importantly - with their ability as slashers.
*RJ Luis is impressive in strength, size, ball handling, shooting and poise - especially for a freshman. He can play a big/shooting guard slot or wingman.

I am more excited about this team and coach (dressing down players aside) than any umass squad in many years. Don't know where they can take us but it's a fun bunch and I'm ready for the ride.
