Just took a quick look at North Texas stats. Not having seen them play, it looks like they really slow the pace and every possession is a dogfight. We take 62 shots a game and give up 58. They take 53 and give up only 44. Their average score is 61-52 while ours is 73-67.

This game will be mucked up. I am not sure if we will be favored on Saturday or not, but keep in mind boys and girls that it is very possible that we will be favored in every game until March. I think we are the best team in the A10, which is having a down year in terms of top end teams.

UMass at #85 is now the highest ranked A10 team in the NET rankings. N. Texas at #65 is by far the highest ranked team left on the schedule.

Can’t wait till Saturday! Other than the Lafayette debacle back when HWSNBN (allegedly) ‘coached’, UMass has played well in that building.

North Texas biggest advantage against our squad is that they have a lot of juniors and seniors on their team. All in all, I do believe that we are the better squad. Just like the UML game, it will come down to how our freshmen guards will react to their senior guards.

Maz WFT is the matter with you? Do you smoke maroon colored weed or what? You remind me of a poster long ago with the same cadence and ridiculous takes - as I recall that goes back to the HWSNBN days. Tony Montana maybe - that guy had to be on Steve's staff - it was the only way he could with a straight face defend that mess the way he did? I think you are just a delusional person.
As of right now Umass is only favored in 8 of their remaining 20 games at least 4 of them are by a wide enough margin that there is no way they will become the favorite over time. Umass is not the best team in the A-10... just stop.

I thought the Umass to the Big Ten thing was schtick/troll, but I'm starting to think that's what he actually believes.

LS71 that Lafayette game will live in infamy.

The "boys and girls" stuff is beyond annoying too...natwam2547 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 12, 2022 12:26 pm I thought the Umass to the Big Ten thing was schtick/troll, but I'm starting to think that's what he actually believes.

I Promise you, if they keep winning they will continually be favored. I dont know about this Saturday, but the spread will be +/- 2. They will be favored over Dartmouth. A 10-2 UMass team will be slight favorite at St Bona and a 11-2 Umass team will be favored at home over Saint Louis. Next 3 should be W's (at GW, Las, and Rhody) heading into VCU where a 15-2 UMass team will likley be slight favorite (maybe slight Dog). Then, at St joes, Richmond, Duq, at GM, Davidson, at Forham (could be dog), at Lasalle, Loyola, At Rhody. Which of these teams are we supposed to be afraid of? Late in the year we have what was always an overrated Dayton team at home then at Duq (could be dog) and St Bona. Now, will we win every game? of course not, but we may very well come close.eldonabe wrote: ↑Mon Dec 12, 2022 10:01 amstevemaz wrote: ↑Mon Dec 12, 2022 7:08 am This game will be mucked up. Will the 32-2 UMass team be favored or a dog v Purdue in the National Championship game?
