Extremely interested in the Hawaii tournament. My sister-in-law lives in Hawaii and is a professor at the University of Hawaii, and we can stay free.

This is an exciting opportunity for the school. I hope it works out better than it did for GWU this year. They stunk it up out there...

One thing that I didn't see mentioned is the attractiveness of this trip to recruits and existing players. The effect of a trip to Hawaii on Christmas might be attractive to players who get offers to come here as freshmen or transfers, not to mention retention of seniors who might be considering looking elsewhere.

When are we allowed an off-season trip again? I think we should be about due. Last time was Tre's freshman year and he played his first game in a UMass uniform against a former UMass center Kitwana Rhymer. We sure could have used a trip this year, imho. Would have been a great jump start.

You can have both a trip and an in season MTE in the same year. Not sure, given the cost of travel to Hawaii, we would have budget for both in the same year, however.

Doesn't a trip mean out of the US?

Does playing in this event even matter anymore?

The collective should just use the RJ money and send all of us lunatics to Hawaii for following this madness every day.

The Collective needs to send a video crew to film SteveMaz, Eldon, Camby4life and Inthescoop bunking up together at Debache’s in law’s Hawaii house. I smell an Emmy.

Sign me up, I'll do it. But it has to include a round of golf!
