Putting here so most folks see. Price goes from $69.99/year to $99.99/year on 8/23.

FYI for Verizon Wireless customers: you can get the Disney Bundle (Disney+, ESPN+ and Hulu) for free on certain service plans.

Football is all of the home games are in espn platform (with four on + or 3 and with one on either, news, flagship, deuce or U.) I’d assume a similar arrangement if not better. That would put about ten on the streaming and five on on air platform. I don’t know the breakdown for which will be in plus vs 3.

ESPN + is a lot better than FUBO we used the last couple of years.

The A-10 will talk about TV & streaming coverage when the schedule comes out, which should be within the next couple weeks.thecaptain wrote: ↑Sat Aug 20, 2022 4:56 pm do we have any idea how many of our games will be on ESPN+?

The majority of games should be available on ESPN+. All UMass home games and all conference games will be on ESPN+. Home games are often covered by NESN or NESN+ as well. Not sure if conference games on USA are also on ESPN+. And then a few non-con away games could be on ESPN+ as well.minutefanjsf wrote: ↑Sat Aug 20, 2022 5:49 pmthecaptain wrote: ↑Sat Aug 20, 2022 4:56 pm do we have any idea how many of our games will be on ESPN+?

No games will be on Nesn according to Bamford.Worcester_To_Amherst wrote: ↑Wed Aug 24, 2022 11:59 amThe majority of games should be available on ESPN+. Re: ESPN+ Price Increase
I have not been paying attention on this, but isn't it a large step backwards to not have games on NESN?

Re: ESPN+ Price Increase
It is likely a step forward for those not in New England.
Re: ESPN+ Price Increase
I agree OC. Since its New England Sports Network, and UMass is in New England, why not televise?

Re: ESPN+ Price Increase
Definitely not. ESPN plus is a national streaming service that's included in many streaming subscriptions. I pay $70/month for Hulu live, which includes all ESPN channels (among many other sports channels). I can't imagine paying $30/month solely for NESN's crappy product.
This is a big step forward for fans who stream games.

Re: ESPN+ Price Increase
Woot! Watching UMass basketball games from San Diego has been challenging to say the least. So may shitty streams in the past - including not so legal ones. ESPN+ has been incredible for allowing me to see some games. So selfishly, if more games are being taken off NESN and moved to ESPN's stable, I'm all for it. Obviously, I'm probably the minority, but I'm thrilled to be getting more chances to see our boys when I can't see them in person.
Re: ESPN+ Price Increase
I guess that I didn't realize that it is an either/or situation. I understand that there are a number of UMass fans outside of NESN's tv area that will benefit. However, there are hundreds of thousands of rabid or casual sports fans in New England (including UMass alums) that can watch on NESN for no additional $$ output. Most of those do not subscribe to a sports streaming service.
