5⭐️ Recruit outta philly Justin Edwards, who had interest in Uconn, is supposedly tight with Diggins. I dont see an offer from Umass but what are the chances he could come to Umass?

I don't mean to be nasty with this, just an observation about the numbers...

It's crazy how much he is struggling at the line. He went 0-2 last night to bring his season FT numbers to 3-18 (.167)

His numbers (this season) from the floor
FG overall: 35-108 (.324)
2pt: 18-53 (.340)
3pt: 17-55 (.309)

It's just weird how you can be much better from the floor, when the ball is moving and defenses are coming at you, versus the relative calm of the stripe. And for a guard to struggle like this, versus a big man, is even stranger.

Again, this isn't an attack on him. I wish him success.

A lot of those 17 3s have been really tough shots too. He's got the talent, just needs to put it together consistently. I think having a kid mid-season as a 19/20 year old is a huge thing hanging over him. Hopefully he can keep building confidence and be a great player here for a few years to come.

BUT he made 10 of his last 20 3s, and really seems to be turning the corner. Quality player who will contribute in the future, hopefully including the very near future, like Saturday.

Seems to me like Diggins' biggest roadblocks are mental, not physical.

At his age having a kid is a huge life change. I think as he settles into being a parent, he'll settle in on the court as well. He's a young kid, a talented kid. Lots of opportunity to improve, I think he'll get there

Right now, it's more physical than mental. He's had a bad ankle for the last 2 games. I'm rooting for him. Frank says he's a great locker room guy.

Maybe coach should adopt a method my high school coach used in the 50's. After the practice of each game those who missed foul shots had to stay after practice and make 10 free throws for every one the missed every day until the next game. Sure improved our foul shooting.

Really like this young man, he is slowly getting his confidence back. His Defense is what will bring his offense around.
