Thought Woodley should get his own thread.

I think Woody played a lot at the 5 last year and that he will likely play more next to Wildens here at the 4.

I’m not sure he will play as a 4 he doesn’t really stretch the floor

Good point. I see in video he has som mid-range shooting ability, never takes a 3, I think.

I think the next bigs we add should be able to do that. I hope.

I still like Skogman from Buffalo.

UM "officially" tweeting about Woodley today:

They usually put out a release when someone signs. Maybe we'll still get that.

Dusting off Woodley's thread.

We got a report last month that Woodley's family was going through some stuff at home. A no-change update today from one of the student reporters on the team beat:
@P_GraySoares
Ta’Quan Woodley will not be with the team for the foreseeable future, per HC Frank Martin.

I'm trying to read between the lines here and my guess is we may not see him until second semester.

The kid has had a lot on his plate, transferring to a new school as a young dad and a student athlete on top of the scary incident his family had to contend with in the early part of the semester.

I'm pulling for him as a person and as a player.

Family first! Take the time needed to get things settled and come back when you’re ready.

Sounds like he has Martin’s and the school’s support. He certainly has mine!

I think UMass is handling this very well. I'm proud of the way Frank and the school are supporting him.

I wish there was a way we could support him. Is there a way through the collective to directly support him and his family?

The collective appears to be very cutthroat and does not view its job to support players. It’s made clear it’s role is to buy loyalty from players who may transfer and to help convince potential recruits to join
