I think there's gonna be a lot of disappointment and frustration with Leveque. You see the skills and athleticism he shows on the tape, but why did he end up at SC? And get benched and reamed out by the coach? Probably because what you see on tape is not what a get a lot of time. Don't ask me to define "a lot."

I didn't look through the thread, but does Leveque have 3 years remaining (with COVID not counting)?

Hey len, I'm having a lot of disappointment and frustration with you being so pessimistic :lol:

I agree with this observation. However, here's to hoping that whatever conversation that they had during his recent visit addressed the effort / hustle concerns that Coach Martin had with Leveque when they were both at SC last year.

I assume that Coach Martin would not have brought him on if he thought that the lack of effort was still going to be a problem. But hey, a leopard can't change its spots so we'll see. But I would definitely temper expectations. Hope that we don't get another Chris Baldwin. If memory serves, had similar effort / hustle issues.

^ I agree with 96 that Frank must have felt comfortable with what he heard from Wildens on his visit or he wouldn't have brought him on. Maybe I'm putting too much stock in this but I know if I were a player and had family/friends at all my home games I wouldn't dog it and embarrass myself in front of them. That's how my mind works and I hope that Wildens also thinks that way.

Can anyone provide me with a pronunciation on "Leveque"? The hiring of Martin and his recruiting efforts has me incredibly interested in this program again and want to do this young man justice and pronounce his name (mostly in my head) correctly!

Lets not forget he won't be going up against SEC bigs night in and night out. Plus when we didn't even have bigs on the roster its hard to be disappointed.

@kylegrbwsk
Wildens leveque has had knee tendinitis so he’s been shut down for a couple weeks. He was tolerating a lot of pain.

This explains a lot. I hope he heels up well.

Kante, DD, and Martin need to step up and fill the void.

I bet this has been lingering all season.

I agree and retract my previous comments about him underperforming. I give him credit for trying tough it out to help the team. I hope a couple of weeks is enough to get him back close to 100%.
