This season is all about February and the A10 tournament. Let's get him healthy and make a run.

I hope so, but we've seen first hand what happens with knee issues... Michael Cox, Lawrence Carrier, Zach Coleman... I think I'm missing someone else too... very difficult to get through a basketball season with bad knees.

Wish him well and hoping for a speedy recovery!

I like Wildens, hope the procedures get him to a healthy state. He's got the attitude we need from players at UMass.

Inn didnt Allyson Kuante (sp) 2002 have some knee issues that curtailed his performance. For those of you who are new, the performance AK put on in the 2002 scrimmage was incredible. Thought we had a steal. Instead we had a dud.

I agree. He had a few games where his knees looked OK and he had a lot of energy. In those games he was getting offensive rebounds and putbacks and also playing decent D. In a lot of games, he just didn't have the mobility to be effective. He can help if healthy.

Yep, this signing certainly didn't pan out.

Frank was on a Zoom for Mass Collective members tonight. None of his comments were really top secret, but it was a members-only event so I'm not going to spill all the beans for free riders.

One thing that I will share was about Wildens. Frank said Wildens was playing hurt all year, which we saw in bits. His minutes, points, and boards were down a bit from last year at SC, but his shooting was way down.

Anyway, Frank said Wildens needs about 3 months off, and if he's able to make a full comeback, said he could be "twice as good" as before.

All that said, seems like Wildens is going to cash in that COVID bonus and give it one more run here.

^ I got that impression as well. He definitely talked about him like he's a current member of the roster and preparing for another season.

A healthy Wildens would be huge, but seems like a long shot considering how it usually goes with big men and their knees.

I'm not big on Instagram, but Wildens posted yesterday:

His comment: "Job not done… tbc"
I assume tbc = to be continued

So, I'm reading that to mean he's coming back.

^ The Collective is hosting a tailgate before the Spring FB game and they have announced that Cross, Diggins, Leveque, Gianni and Keon will be there to meet with fans. That also seems to indicate that Wildens will be back. Josh Cohen will also be there.

Glad to see Wildens is coming back. Besides being a big, strong inside presence, he's got a great team attitude. Hopefully a full healthy season will bring out his best
