Quietest summer that I can remember since I started paying attention to UMass hoops!

Right now I'd be excited to hear about a simple exhibition against AIC.

Give us ANYTHING Frank!!!

Apparently calipari is making a major announcement tomorrow during KU open practice. They have one final non conference game to schedule. Hmmm….

If that is what we have been waiting a month for I will be VERY disappointed.

Cal and Bruiser don't like playing against UMass. I doubt that it is ever going to happen unless in a tournament.

We should go for a game against Pitino though!

He's in the news today again...

Have to assume at this point it isn’t recruiting news. And if it is, it’s not GG level. So why would you be disappointed? Kentucky is top 3 program next year, why wouldn’t we want to play them. Add that to our existing stellar non conference schedule, and FM has done a great job.

I'd like to see it too. Even if it's a 1 game deal @ Rupp. Can only help the team get ready for the conference slate by playing in that environment against that caliber of opponent.

If it is in fact the Kentucky news, I think that it’ll be even more than that.. it’ll be a home and home series.

I'm pretty sure that announcing a game or a home and home against a mid-major opponent who hasn't finished in the top 4 of their conference in years does not qualify as "major" at Kentucky.

Don't get me wrong, a game or two against them would be a nice PIECE, but it can't be all there is. That would be disappointing considering the hype. I don't think that if it is this, that it is the entirety of the news.

Lol good point. If Calipari announces “major scheduling” news that they are playing a team that finished 15-17 and 10th in their conference last year, KY fans would be very confused.

If it involves a game in Boston then maybe it’s somewhat of a big deal for Kentucky. Not sure.

If he wouldn't schedule a game as a favor to DK, one of his "guys", why would he do it now with Frank?

He did though. We ended up playing Memphis the last year Cal was there / DK’s first year.

I could be wrong but I think Cal has stated that he doesn't like playing games against former assistant coaches.

So much for that.

Maybe it's Western Kentucky.
