Great game. Glad the A10 is going to get 2 teams in the dance.

True but only Richmond and Davidson have an impact on our tournament shares.

The committee had Dayton as the first team out of the tournament so A10 would have gotten 2 regardless.

Might we have snuck in to NIT if we beat Dayton?

Can you get an invite to one of the other post-season tournaments with a losing record? It's not likely we would get invited, but if we did - should we go?

no chance - have to be .500 and with our NET ranking being 180 or whatever it was we'd have no chance

you absolutely go - even if its CBI, this team is in no position to pass up any postseason invite...but they still have no shot at any postseason tourneys

What a game yesterday to watch. It's crazy that Richmond down 2 and coming out of a timeout, feeds it and clears out for a guy that averages 4 points a game and was 0-4 from the field. Mooney went for they "they'll never see this coming" strategy. That's some balls.

Not too long ago Richmond fans were screaming for Mooney to be let go

The "Fire DK" people were nutty here, but they never went to these lengths to get him canned:

Not sure how many here watched the Richmond / Davidson game but WTF was McKillop thinking in those last two possessions?

Davidson has the ball up 2 with 50+ seconds left in the game. They move the ball around the arc and never even once look into the paint by pass or dribble drive. Instead they take a dumb 3 pointer with about 45 seconds left? WTAF are they thinking there? You drive the basket and draw a foul or convert a high percentage shot EVERY SINGLE TIME in that situation. Richmond cannot let you score a layup and risk going down 2 possessions - THEY HAVE TO STOP THAT SHOT which is going to be a foul 4 out of 5 times.

You are up anywhere from 3 -5 points [most likely] after that possession - which is a worst case tie game after Richmond's possession AND YOU GET THE FUCKING BALL BALL BACK!

THEN - they manage to get the ball back with 20 seconds down 1 point and take another bad 3 pointer shot - on purpose.... WTF???? Same situation, Richmond cannot give you an uncontested drive to the basket and just give you the lead -- no.... no... a 23 footer off balance as you are cutting around a screen is a much better shot to take in that situation. HOLY FUCK!!!!!

On Twitter, Ricky Harris was thinking that Noah should have made the A10 Tourney Team. That's really hard to do when your squad doesn't at least make it to the Semi-Final. (All 5 on this year's team were at least in the Semis.)

I went back thru 1990 and it has only happened 4 times in our league, when a guy gets named without reaching the Semis:
2019, Marcus Santos-Silva, VCU, 26 & 22 (pts & boards) in their one game
2018, Justin Tillman, VCU, avg 19.0 & 12.5
2017, Marquise Moore, Mason, avg 18.0 & 18.0
1990, Mark Stevenson, Duq, avg 31.5 & 8.5

Noah averaged 27.5 & 2.5 plus 5.5 assists
Maybe they like points & boards for their numbers, and if so that hurt Noah also.
