Game 30, 2021-22: at George Mason (3/5)

Post by PreecherJenkins » Fri Mar 04, 2022 10:49 am

Travel to Fairfax, VA to take out GMU and their incredible band. Doc Nix is a show onto itself, their band is worth the trip to EBA. Live vocals. As Tim Kenney would say OH BABY

We did a good job in the previous meeting getting their big in foul trouble, the problem was their other players played better than our players and they hung a loss on our Minuteman...

As stated on this bi-polar board, we are playing to not play in the play-in game on Wednesday. If they were to play Wednesday, will they keep the team in the DMV? Maybe Ricky Harris brings up to Baltimore for some crabs, Natty Boh's, and a tour of O's park?

This game goes one of two ways, UMass is still inspired playing for their coach or they think it is only a few more days until the season is over.

Are those the only two options?

I’ll be in 103 with my kids tomorrow. Come say hello if you’re in the house. Going to support this team and all of their hard work this season!

This game is flying way under the radar given McCall's status and the big win last night for the women. Also, the hockey team is playing for an America East championship this weekend. These guys are still playing for something as seeding to stay out of the Wednesday game is on the line.

I have absolutely zero love for George Mason. They have beaten the snot out of us since joining the league in 2013, we're 4-11 against them. We played them 6 times under Kellogg and went 3-3, but since McCall took over, we've gone 1-8, the only win a squeaker at home where we blew a 14 point lead. Is McCall's final game against them the one where he gets over the GMU bugaboo?

I understand that UMass needs the win to avoid playing next Wednesday, but does this affect GMU's standing/seeding?

If Rhody loses today( and they are down at the half) UMass clinches tenth and avoids the first round.

And yet another OT game against George Mason.

Solid 2nd half comeback. Noah looks more aggressive and comfortable, got that pep back in his step.

Greg Jones airballing a 3 with less than a minute to go with a bit disappointing as I’m sure that’s not the shot that anyone wanted.
