I think the passion to win was there. What was missing were the psychological and strategic skills to get the most out of his players. I think Carl Pierre is a perfect example. Shooting 40+% from three like he did as a freshman. What happened there?

Yes. This was something coach K said a week or two ago when asked about his coaching career. Getting the heads right is the hard spent part. There are very few college coaches never mind HS coaches who do not know/understand X’s and O’s.

Unfortunately Kellogg was one of those few coaches.

McCall posted a goodbye/thank you letter yesterday. Good stuff from a class act.

oh here we go again... One could argue that McCall x's and o's were worse than DK's. Don't remember Derek's teams ever being ranked sub 300 defensively.

Funny quote from yesterday's coaches caravan with Bamford...
@kstone06
“If your AD is good at golf you’re probably all right. If your coaches are good at golf, it probably means you’re not winning much,” -@UMassADBamford when asked who the best golfer on the panel was

My mind immediately went to our previous coach, who was/is really good at golf. 8)

^ I can verify that there was a day when one of the current four spent every possible moment discussing his situation with multiple areas of quite tall fescue. :)
"Jack didn’t have any envy in him," Calipari said. "He was the greatest coach to ever coach here."

Local real estate friend told me the McCall's put their Amherst house on the market on June 2nd and it sold the same day. They bought it for $745 and sold it for $915K. Beautiful home. Indoor pool. Great location! Wonder if Frank Martin bought it :lol: Like Kellogg bought from Ford.

Wow, that is a lot cheaper of a price than I would've expected for that house.

That house would be 1.2 million easily in Colorado.

Priced too low if it sold in a day. But then again, he's got stacks of dough

Probably a pre-arranged sale.
