Re: Replacements for McCall
Archie Miller would be an unbelievable hire.
Wouldn't it be easier and more realistic to get Pitino in here though?

According to reports, he lost his fastball around 2015 and now is suffering from dementia.

OK, sold. Get Archie Miller here. At all costs. Don't care if we have to call Cal, Gov. Baker, or Kamala Harris. Do it.

He would never come, because he would have to win a National Championship to top Cal!

Re: Replacements for McCall
We should not settle for some crummy hire from a school like Chattanooga. We should go big for a coach that just got a large buyout from a big time program like Chris Mack or Archie Miller. It’s just hard to have faith in Bamford here but jeez we’re all ready for this to happen.
Re: Replacements for McCall
Chris Mack is out mid-season, perhaps making him even more interesting? and bring one of those big guys with you

^ He's not Mother Teresa, but he knows how to coach. Was Mack the Xavier coach in the "Big Deli" game?
Edit: Nope, it was Sean Miller. Mack came after Miller and we (DK) were 2-2 against him.

LOL Camby is a crazier suggestion than Pitino.
Stop waiting for UMass to do something big and help UMass do something big. - Shades

Re: Replacements for McCall
^Yes. We all love Marcus Camby, of course we do, but we need a coach. Preferably somebody who has experience coaching and makes their living as a coach. Maybe we can hire a former player again some day and be thrilled that we have somebody here that loves UMass as much as we all do, but nobody fits that description right now. Ricky Harris is working his way up, Chris Lowe is an assistant on Schmidt's staff at Bona, and Dante Milligan worked for Travis Ford, but we need someone with real head coaching experience.
