Well, this is what good big men do to us. We have no answer.

Davidson just a better team, gotta give it to them.

We really need an inside presence. Imagine someone like Rashaun Freeman with this group. Not so much pressure on our perimeter guys

We didn't really play bad tonight, they're just better

I wasn't able to watch or listen to the game. I just looked at the box score and saw that CJ didn't play and Steadman didn't show up. I assume CJ was sick, nothing you can do about that. Did Steadman play the whole game and have no points and 3 boards or did he get hurt and leave early?

I'm curious because I'm expecting more from him. He's showed what he can do in a few games earlier this year.

^ You know where Steadman is headed at the outset. If he's on he's on if starts cold he's useless. Been doing that all year.

When Loyola Chicago comes in next year we will be the "new" Fordham in the A10!

Second half wasn't fun to watch.

Idk what was wrong with Steadman.

We played a much better team but we are not able to hold leads nor come from behind.

I fear its going to be a miserable month.

Per Kyle at dhg

Cj Kelly had knee swelling and keeping him out was more precautionary, per McCall

Back from the game. It was better than I expected. First 10 - 12 min were great. When the second half started and they threw up 3 3's to start I knew we were in trouble.

They have this guy from South Korea #1 Lee that they are touting as the next Seth Curry. My daughter says no way. He is good on the 3's but no Curry.

Next game for me there is the Women on Feb 20th.

I thought we were playing much better when we had Greg Jones in the starting lineup - we need a junkyard dog type mentality on the court to pick up the teams toughness from the very start.

HA !! LOL perfect but My post was unclear. Meant some euro big man who can make layups as did the Davidson dude all night long. Davidson was the superior team. At the start of the second half I kept thinking dont let it get away. it got away. At least we can knock down the 3 to keep us near but at the end of the day the poor defense and missed shots inside sealed our fate. I was entertained until the mistakes mounted and we struggled to respond.

I think Kevin McHale intimidated Steadman a bit inside, as he missed a ton of shots we've seen him make most of the year. A few roll in and he likely gains some momentum but he essentially was out of sorts from the first time he touched the ball. Him not showing up was a major factor.

looking at the box score two things really stuck out:

1. Trent shot 10 three-pointers. Made 2. This is why I hate 5th-year transfers coming into your program. They are there to get their stat line to try to get a pro contract. Since Thanksgiving Trent is shotting at a 37/24/69 clip. Pass the ball Trent, there is a reason why you are wide open.

2. Davidson had 3 turnovers. 3 turnovers, gotta start pressuring some guys.

Advance warning - this is going to be a stupid post but I've had a day to decompress and I'm tired of the doom and gloom (I realize that I have been a contributor),

The positives:
1. We see what TJ can bring us when healthy
2. Noah was healthy (He was nursing a sore wrist, that's why Rich was bringing the ball up so often. From Noah's grandmother who was sitting near me at the Duq. game.)
3. We only had 8 turnovers
4. Jones gives us energy and grit almost every game

The negatives:
1. Trent has to stop chucking 3's when he's not on. He has good days and bad days, so limit the shots on bad days.
2. I don't think we're going to get much from DD or Kolton. They are what they are.
3. Our interior defense is still bad. We were 10/29 (35%) on 2 point shots and they were 19/36 (53%).

The big WHAT IF?
1. I have to think Steadman was ailing. He's better than that.
2. Garcia is still not close to 100%.
3. CJ was out with a sore knee
4. Will Preston ever get back to the guy we saw 2 years ago?

How good might we be if our top 9 guys were all healthy (Noah, Rich, CJ, Trent, Steadman, Jones, Garcia, TJ, Santos)?

I was at the game and it was only about half full Not that good for a team that has won 12 in a row.
