looking at the box score two things really stuck out:
1. Trent shot 10 three-pointers. Made 2. This is why I hate 5th-year transfers coming into your program. They are there to get their stat line to try to get a pro contract. Since Thanksgiving Trent is shotting at a 37/24/69 clip. Pass the ball Trent, there is a reason why you are wide open.
McCall has talked about both of those things:
- He felt like these guys were not the selfish "my stats" kind of players and would have a team first mentality. Whether that was coachspeak, or has regressed a bit, or was just a one-off last night, who knows.
- Sharing the ball. McCall wants more passes, less iso, higher assists.
Yeah, 10 3s from Trent is too many. He averaged less than half that, and he's a .300 shooter. It was a bad game for him and hopefully he'll play smarter this weekend.

This is a player out-of-control! Half of his shots are 3 point shots and he is shooting 30%. To put 10 3-pt shots in perspective, the top 2 in makes in UMass BB history only averaged 6.7 attempts per game (Pierre) and 6.1 attempts (Harris) and they shot significantly better than 30%!
The game has changed. Shooting 30% from 3 is equal number of points as shooting 45% from 2.
