This is such a big game today! They win this one and they have two winnable games at home before they start conference play. If you told me they would go 9-4 in OOC play I would have signed up for that in a heartbeat. This will be one of the tougher games they have played...NT just beat Drake which was getting votes in the Top 25 and they lost to Kansas and Miami but hung tough in both games. I honestly have no idea what to think...if it was at home I feel like they'd find a way to win...the fact it's at a neutral site helps, but it's still a long road trip for a team that has proven they can't travel an hour and win a game. NT only averages about 3K fans per game, so the fact it's 30 minutes off campus should make the crowd somewhat of a non factor. Take care of the ball, rebound and I think they have a good chance of winning this one...they haven't done either of these things on the road yet, but maybe today is the day!

The betting public doesn't have much confidence in us on a road game. The line started at us getting 3, all of the money went to North Texas so they had to adjust the line to 5 or even 5.5 to get people to put money on UMass. Please win this game and prove them wrong.

We are 25th in O eff and 304 in D eff according to KenPom. As great as our offense is, it doesn't mean anything as long as our D is this bad. We need to be better balanced. This would be nice win to get. I hope they bring some defensive intensity today. Go UMass!

Maybe things turn around and they win this one, but I’m losing any type of hope that a light is going to turn on defensively in the big picture. These first halves especially just continue to pile up as damning evidence.
