I suspect this really is about to happen.

Weeks injured? Too much 1-1 hero ball - not smart - should be working the ball and clock for at least 20 seconds.

Not going to get away with that against many teams and we almost didn't against Lowell. Especially in the A10. I know it's Lowell and the night before Thanksgiving but the silence speaks volumes. Just look at the injection of excitement, donations, and interest Football has had in the last 72 hours. It's time for a new era of UMass Basketball as well.

Lost focus at times but played better defensively the first 3/4 of the game. Steadman will definitely help, moves well, nice touch.
Ability to score is there, good balance tonight.
Take the W. Hope TJ is ok. Looks like Cairo is buried on the bench, no time at all
Enjoy Turkey Day everyone

Not a consistent 40 minutes, but I thought they moved the ball well tonight and played pretty good defense. Good win and better coaching tonight in terms of a game plan. Great to see Garcia come to life as well.

Too many times thinking they can turn on and off the intensity. They simply are not that good.
Happy Thanksgiving to all.

If 2 guys had 1 more point, we would have had 8 in double figures. I like that!

Have not had to show Vax card at main entrance once this season for hockey and hoops.

Noah was dressed and was warming up...didn't seem like he was limping. I'm sure it was just precautionary. If there is one position we have depth, it's guard, so probably smart to give him a rest and hopefully have him 100% for rest of season.

1,500? Including the cardboard cutouts?
So, we drove in on Mullins Way towards Lot 67 around 6:15...
They were actually checking for Parking Passes with some dude, probably a student. The usual accompanying UM Police Officer had yet to arrive.
4 cars in front of us...all of us being delayed minutes by the student dude...apparently #1 in cue did not have a PP...The dude was not capable of letting us behind #1 proceed...Took him 3-4 minutes and made the car turn around and leave.
#2 appeared to be the UM Police Officer in his own vehicle.
#3 proceeded in with a PP.
I then took my foot off the brake and let our Electric Hybrid Plugin slowly roll forward, with our PP clearly displayed as required, hanging from the rearview mirror.
Well the dude quickly became a total IDIOT.
He jumped in front of our SUV, while it rolled forward slowly, right in front of the middle of the hood. I was able to stop maybe 6" from contact.
Yes, I opened my window and told him what I thought of him and how stupid he was and that he should not be allowed to do this "job" ever again... called him an IDIOT, after he totally ignored the implication of what could have happened to him.
I will definitely report this to the Campus Police on Friday.

Re: Game 7, 2021-22: UMass Lowell (11/24)
Yes, they have serious defenses lapses and that will cost us against better teams. But they showed in the first half that they can play defense when they give 100%.
I did see a few positives tonight.
Steadman will definitely help us. He only played 12 minutes and had 10 points and 4 boards. He also altered a few shots.
Garcia came to play and was easily our most outstanding player. If he can keep this up we are a much better team.
TJ looked great before he got hurt. That's 2 very good games in a row. One of the beat writers said it was cramps. If so, he should be fine.
We have a ton of offensive weapons. Lowell hadn't given up more than 58 in any game except OK State.
We won this game without Noah, who has been the leader all season. He had a wrap on his arm during warmups but seemed to be moving OK.
On the negative side, I didn't care for some of the substitutions. But I guess I say that every game.
Edit: I have to give the D a little break tonight on Lowell's 3s. Coming into tonight they were 29/108 from 3, about 27%. If I were game planning, I would have told my guys to sag off and don't let them drive. However, be close enough to get a hand in their face, not 10 feet away.

Re: Game 7, 2021-22: UMass Lowell (11/24)
I agree with giving the D a bit of a break...when Lowell made their run late, they couldn't miss...I mean 8-10 straight possessions. As 69 said above, coming into the game they were awful from 3...and prior to catching fire for that 5-6 minute stretch, they were just as bad so I think the plan was a good one but nothing you can do when a team gets that hot.69MG wrote: ↑Wed Nov 24, 2021 11:49 pm Yes, they have serious defenses lapses and that will cost us against better teams.
