Weber State (out of Ogden UT) comes into the game at 2-0. They opened with a 100-60 home win over D2 Western Colorado.

Tonight, they were at Duquesne. Weber was down 9 at the break, but got hot in the second and won 63-59.

Weber was picked 2nd out of the 11 in the Big Sky, and picked up a couple of first place votes.
Seikou Sisoho Jawara (6'3 210 G So) was on the pre-season all conference team.

looks like Weber got killed on the boards by Duquesne but Duquesne shot 35% for the game.. pretty sure that's what did them in.

Sage pointed this out on Twitter. A guy we'll have to lock down on is Koby McEwen (6'4 195 G). Like some of our guys, he's on his 3rd stop, having started at Utah State, upgraded to Marquette, but then went into the portal after MU's staff change.

He led Weber last night with 21, and is shooting 64% from 3 so far this season.

I don't know what to think about this game. We're so unpredictable. Can we win only if we shoot 40% from 3? Weber State squeaked by a mediocre Duquesne team and crushed a very bad Western Colorado team. So they are also hard to figure out. We're favored by 1.

If you look at just the Duquesne game I think you get a better picture of what the lineup will look like against us. Their season stats are skewed because of the 100-60 blowout of a terrible team.

They played 8 guys against Duq. and one of them only played 7 minutes. They don't play anyone shorter than 6'3 but other than their center (6'10) the other four starters range from 6'3 to 6'6. As has been mentioned, they turned Duq. over 20 times and had 9 steals. They also went to the line 28 times.

We'll have to play well to beat them and hope that our shots are falling.
