Game 4, 2021-22: vs Weber State (11/18)
Re: Game 4, 2021-22: vs Weber State (11/18)
Dominguez was (+/-) -17 in thirteen minutes. TJ was not far behind. The only + was Walker.

Walker should start over DD

It seems that’s the offense the past 3 games over half our shots come from 3. Tonight it was 60% (37 of 62) coming from behind the arc. This team does not have Steph and Klay, we have a bunch of guys that are incredibly streaky shooting the 3 ball. McCall needs to have a better offensive strategy than to hope we have a good shooting night or he’ll be done at the end of the season. If he’s really on the hot seat losses like this and Yale are going to hold back any chance of making the NIT let alone the NCAAs this year

^ It's a loooong season, a lot of things will change by March!

Dibaji needs 25+ minutes every night. Kolton and Jones need to play half of the minutes they are right now.
And most of all we need a center. Really hope Steadman is back this weekend.

First his middle is Wayne. Matthew Wayne McCall
The leftover Mitchell has not improved. Offensively it’s Playing 4 v 5. I know he’s a fla kid maybe got some extra time for the parents.
Who do we play next?

Unbelievable how Weber came out of halftime with adjustments and executed over and over again while we did same old same old, and... game over.
I think we've seen enough of McCall. You can pick a guy off the street to go 48-67 with UMass' budget. What's maybe more astounding is how Bamford merited an extension and raise with the way football and basketball have looked.
I'm already close to checking out this year. Year 5, first two games away from home ugly losses to Yale and Weber St. Big pile of poop.

No close games for this team.

Id say we are in for an up and down year likely finishing around 15-16 or maybe 16-15.

I'm having a hard time figuring out why Greg Jones and Dyondre are getting minutes, with Dyondre starting.
Jones is an effort guy, not a smooth player at all. When he has the ball in his hands he looks uncomfortable, not sure whether to drive, shoot or pass. It's ugly. I'm not sure what to make of Dyondre. By all accounts he's improved and the staff likes him. But is he a starter? I say no. He's averaging 18.5 minutes per game, 3.5 points and 2.8 rebounds. That sounds like a guy that gets 8-10 minutes, not a starter playing half the game. Someone please help me, what do you see in Dyondre that warrants extended playing time?

My biggest gripe was giving up 4-5 wide open 3 point looks in the first half. Should have gone into halftime with a lead, instead went down a few points and Weber State went on a run to start the 2nd.

You hit the nail on the head, again we get out coached, one team makes adjustment at half and the other does not !!! Basketball and football teams should not be getting blown out of games. I would also like to know how Bamford got an extension . Who the hell scheduled us into this tournament..... my high school gym is bigger than where they played and they still could not fill the gym !! Is this how a coach who has been in place for 5 years builds a program !!DanaDingle3 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 18, 2021 9:57 pm Unbelievable how Weber came out of halftime with adjustments and executed over and over again while we did same old same old, and... game over.
