So I decided to put the game back on for no reason at all, and the first thing my eyes saw was us airballing a free throw… word

Watched hockey with bball in background. Yale is a solid well coached team. We should strive for that. Super talented guys who were lights out from distance. Early but our guys are not cohesive. Will be uphill. A lot of tough years in the past and more to come. Hard to see Umass as average.

End score 91-71. Outscored us down low 42-16!!!!!
I spent a lot of time with the Celtics and UM Hockey win over BU in a shootout. Every time I tuned in I got nauseous. "Tre is not walking back into Mullins Center", right? And as of now, they are a problem looking for a solution, especially on the Offensive end.
Yale is experienced and will probably win the IVY league again.

Feeling entitled is JUST a feeling...

Good thing Bamford sold out football for this team

Disappointing.
Yale is a solid team, surprised Jones hasn’t gotten an opportunity elsewhere.

Yikes, I guess not. I wasn't able to follow along, and now I'm glad that I didn't. This team is full of veteran players who shouldn't crumble on the road, yet we got blown out by an Ivy team that hasn't played a D-1 game in over a year and a half. If this UMass team is expected to be quality, then chalk this one up as a bad loss. I agree 100% with JRDupe's earlier post:Juice Stand wrote: ↑Thu Nov 11, 2021 9:56 am I forgot about that whole year off thing for the Ivy league. Does that mean the whole roster will be rusty?
Well said Dupe, and in this case, they didn't even get the moral victory! At least the bus ride back to Amherst was a quick one.IMO this would be a really bad loss. Two years ago when these guys really were Freshman it wouldn't be such a bad loss...90% of the roster has had at least 2+ years of college experience...its time they start winning these games...no more "moral" victories

Yale looked like the better team. Swaim was the best player in the game and combine him with Cotton shooting lights out and UMass was cooked.
That said, inexcusable to lose by 20 to an Ivy League team. The players did not bring their best effort and that falls on the coach, especially when you have a 12 man rotation. At least MM said he needs to shorten the rotation after the game.
MM better hope this is the low point of the season, or else he’ll be out the door. Unbelievable that Bamford gets a 5 year extension right before he likely has to fire the coaches for the 2 biggest sports (his hires). I hope McCall gets them playing their best but there’s no logical reason to think he will.

Once again the thing that has plagued MM the most throughout his UMass career hurt them again. Handling or setting the rotation. Hes been so bad at it and once again he played guys way too many minutes that were having bad nights.

This should not be happening in his fifth season. No more excuses.

I'm lowering my expectations, once again, which seems to happen every year about this time. I saw a lot of effort by the team which means to me that it's the coaching that's the main problem. Although Yale won the first half by 13 and the second half by only 7 so that shows good half-time adjustments, right?
