It wont be the coaches or the programs... it will be who has the biggest donors and best deals.. thay should have put a cap on the earnings.. like you can make 25k a semester max

It was still illegal back then and they were knowingly breaking the rules. Being legal now has no bearing on what they did then.

Jalen Rose and Chris Webber going off about returning final four banners to Crisler Arena now that NIL is in effect. They also mention Marcus Camby and the UMass final four banner.Interesting.

Not like UMass was setting the world on fire before in on court achievements so happy players can get some bucks in their pockets for their talent. Why not? Do I care if Dunkin Donuts wants to drop 50k on Noah. Do I think there will be all sorts of big deals and this will strengthen the big players even more, maybe. Advertisers want exposure so bigger markets and teams with the biggest fan bases will be where more money flows.

But again does it mean UMass will do worse, it’s not like our national championship aspirations are being threatened here. So make some bucks kids, save it if you are smart and learn about the magic of compounding. You will be happy you did in 30 years.

I feel like they could have done something in the middle. The fact they couldn't make any money before was wrong. But this will get out of control.
