Anyone have any links to video of Kelly?
Re: KAEO CJ Kelly
The best I can do is his freshman highlights when he was at Norfolk State:

Re: KAEO CJ Kelly
Thanks. He's certainly a good scorer off the dribble, can go to the rim with either hand, has a nice 3-pt shot.
Re: KAEO CJ Kelly
I'm guessing that CJ isn't coming. McCall retweeted the report about Rich Kelly, so that's pretty much a confirmation. McCall didn't tweet anything about the CJ Kelly story, and it has been over a week now.
Never say never, but we're pretty much set for guards in the short term.

Re: KAEO CJ Kelly
Just noticed a tweet from yesterday where the original "reporter" is sticking to his story that CJ is coming.

CJ is 6'5 so he could play the 3 along with TJ... If MM truly wants a 3 guard line-up most of the time, there is room for all these guys.
Re: KAEO CJ Kelly
Glad you put reporter in quotes, Mike. That kid looks like should be reporting what’s for hot lunch and algebra homework.

Maybe the Mathews scholarship situation was the holdup.

Re: KAEO CJ Kelly
That was my first thought when Mathews decommitted. He was a TB recruit and McCall was pleasantly surprised to know he got the transfers he wanted and more, and preferred CJ on his future squad than Mathews.MikeUMA wrote: ↑Mon Apr 19, 2021 3:47 pm CJ has confirmed he's coming

Take away the random goose egg he had in the second game of the season, and he averaged 15.4 PPG. Including 27 and 23 point efforts and 20 and 18 point efforts in the conference tournament. Kid is a legit scorer. I have no idea how he will fit into the rotation, but this is a great get.
Re: KAEO CJ Kelly
Hope there are guys willing to be role players or it could end up like McCall’s first year. There are a bunch of transfers expecting serious playing time and they’re grads or seniors. This time though there are also really talented young guys. Looks like a big challenge to me but hopefully Coach can pull this off!?

Re: KAEO CJ Kelly
Definitely a concern but I am hoping that the staff had more time to get guys that fit what they want then that first go around. I also wonder how that year off affected that first group of transfers...they were all probably chomping at the bit to play with that year off.
One thing I like about the two new perimeter dudes — sounds like they can both shoot a bit.

Rich Kelly was a high 30% shooter at BC shot 45% his second year at qunipiac. Cj Kelly was a 41% shooter at Albany but a 26% shooter from 3 at Norfolk st. Possible he used his year off to get better at that aspect of his game. Based on his highlights from Norfolk he was much more of a slasher attack the basket type of guy thereJackson96 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 19, 2021 9:44 pm Definitely a concern but I am hoping that the staff had more time to get guys that fit what they want then that first go around.
