2021 NCAA Tournament
Starting this thread now because some major news just hit.... Duke's run is over and not due to a loss in the ACC tournament, but due to a positive COVID test. They were really on the outside looking in and needed a strong ACC Tournament run to have a chance at the NCAAs. No idea if they will play in the NIT or other post season tournament or if they'll just end things for the year.
Anyways, discuss tournament related stuff here... this is going to be a wild one on and off the court.
EDIT: Updated to mention that their season overall might not be over.

Re: 2021 NCAA Tournament
Hard to remember a tournament with zero UMass opponents in. I suppose St. Louis still has an outside chance, but the lack of non-conference games and not playing Bona or VCU made this oddity.

Gonzaga has very good change to finally break through. My sleeper is Arkansas

Re: 2021 NCAA Tournament
I could care less about the tournament. Once UMass is eliminated I am done with BB and am looking forward to watching Red Sox games as long as they remain competitive.
Re: 2021 NCAA Tournament
Virginia and Kansas are also out of their respective conference tournaments due to having a player test positive for Covid.
One year ago today all of the conference tournaments were abruptly cancelled.
A10 looks really smart now having the conference tourney take place last week.

Re: 2021 NCAA Tournament
Umass Lowell is 11-11, on pace for 36 points in a game and has a legit chance to make the tourney. Hartford is up 23-18 at half. What a year.
Re: 2021 NCAA Tournament
Would we play in the NIT if we got invited? Every power conference team is opting out lol
Re: 2021 NCAA Tournament
^ Idk if we will, but I think we should if UMass is invited. I think a first postseason appearance in 7 seasons would be good for the program. Even if under odd circumstances.

Re: 2021 NCAA Tournament
I’d jump all over that. The Minutemen got screwed with the pause and all the other cancelations. 15 games. Is there any other team in the country that played so few? I say get some more games if given the chance.
Re: 2021 NCAA Tournament
No such luck. Saint Louis, Davidson, Richmond, and Dayton are all in the NIT from the A10.

Re: 2021 NCAA Tournament
With the talent level on Saint Louis, I truly believe that they were snubbed out of the NCAA tournament. Should have been in.
Re: 2021 NCAA Tournament
The Bonnies got fucked over big time..... a 9 seed. They should have been a 6 at the absolute worst. Those pussies from Storrs got a 7 seed FFS.
