6'8 forward Toumani Camara has just committed to Dayton.

Transfer from UGA who averaged 12.8 PPG and 7.7 RPG this season.

What's that old saying, "never say never"? Got a chuckle out of this one. Makes me glad that we're all being somewhat quiet about our transfer predictions.

One name you won’t see in the transfer portal: Eddie Creal is planning on returning to St. Bonaventure next season, according to the program. Mark Schmidt really liked what Creal provided in limited minutes this season.

A lot of transfers from St Bonaventure. I wonder why. It's not exactly a dysfuncitonal program.

You are correct, sir. 7 players leaving and they totaled 14 points and 8 rebounds per game. Not a big loss. They got 2 high class transfers in. 1 from Wake and 1 from Pitt. SBU is the team to beat this year.

Looks like A10 Talk has done the work for us of tracking the transfers, with the list currently at 70.

https://www.a10talk.com/2021-atlantic-1 ... sfer-list/

Davidson looks like it's losing a few and have no incoming yet, but they don't need a whole lot given who's left. Both GMU and GW are losing 8 (!) but already signed 3 substantial replacements, with 5 of the 6 incoming from P5/6. Fordham and UMass don't have a lot leaving (hope it stays that way), but for each their best player is moving on. That's my "at a glance".

Not a day to think bball; still savoring last night's championship.

Richmond loses their top scorer (16.1):
4/13/2021 - Richmond 2016 PG Blake Francis (6-0, 175, 2★) is intending to forego his remaining eligibility in order to play professionally.

Honestly a smart move; I don’t see how 1 more year at Richmond would benefit him at this point.

Looking at ESPN transfer rankings for what they're worth
https://www.espn.com/mens-college-baske ... gs-2021-22

A-10 players/teams named:
117. D'Shawn Schwartz, Colorado->GMU
104. Rich Kelly, BC->UMass
96. Joel Soriano, Fordham->St. John's
79. Tyler Kolek, GMU->Marquette
77. Marcus Weathers, Duquesne->SMU
70. Jordan Miller, GMU->Miami
56. Jamison Battle-> GW->Minnesota
47. Toumani Camara, Georgia->Dayton
29. Fatts Russell, URI->Maryland
9. Kellan Grady, Davidson->Kentucky
4. Tre Mitchell, UMass->TBD :( :(

Who knows if these rankings pan out, but they show a lot more talent leaving than coming, with Rich Kelly being one of the few incoming. Outgoing players are headed to P5/6 conferences (exception is Weathers->SMU).

I'm curious how Fatts Russell will fare at Maryland. I didn't watch a lot of him until this year, but I was excited to see how our guards stacked up against him, and in our two games against URI, he looked like complete dud. "Volume" shooter if ever there was one. He gets his points by taking a lot of shots and getting to the line, not by making a lot of shots.

I originally thought it was just a few bad games against us, but on the year he shot 33.7% from the field and 23.5% from 3 in 23 games. Yikes. He's athletic, tenacious, but other than FT's, he just can not shoot. In 4 years at Rhody, he shot 35.6% from the field, and 28.1% from 3.

Any loss for St. Joe's probably hurts, but this kid showed real potential as a freshman.

St. Joe's Jordan Hall will transfer, per his Twitter page. Averaged 10.6 PPG, 5.9 RPG, and 5.7 APG as a freshman. 6-8.

Fordham gets a good pickup. A little sloppy with the ball and not a great 3 pt. shooter, but pretty good all around guard.

One time a McCall commit, Jalen Crutcher is now turning pro. We won’t see him next season at Dayton.
