Re: 2021-2022 Season
2021-22 Roster as it stands right now.
Guards
Noah Fernandes Jr - 30.7 MPG, 11.1 PPG, 4.2 RPG, 4.4 APG
Javohn Garcia So - 25.9 MPG, 10.4 PPG, 2.5 RPG, 2.6 APG
TJ Weeks So - 20.4 MPG, 9.7 PPG, 3.5 RPG, 1.1 APG
CJ Kelly Sr (2 Years of eligibility) - 29 MPG, 14.3 PPG, 4 RPG, 2 APG at Albany*
Rich Kelly Sr - 25.4 MPG, 11 PPG, 1.7 RPG, 2.4 APG at BC*
Cairo McCrory So - 16.9 MPG, 4.6 PPG, 4.5 RPG, 0.8 APG
Kolton Mitchell Jr - 6.5 MPG, 0.6 PPG, 0.9 RPG, 0.5 APG
Forwards
Ronnie DeGray III So - 27.4 MPG, 8.7 PPG, 4.6 RPG, 1.4 APG
Preston Santos So - Sat out 2020-21*
Dibaji Walker Sr - 11.9 MPG, 2.1 PPG, 1.8 RPG, 0.8 APG
Dyondre Dominguez So - 8.5 MPG, 2.5 PPG, 1.1 RPG, 0.3 APG
Trent Buttrick Sr - 13.3 MPG, 3 PPG, 3 RPG, 0.5 APG at Penn State*
Michael Steadman Sr - 22.6 MPG, 9.9 PPG, 5.4 RPG, 0.3 APG at Montana*
That's a lot of MPG's that McCall will have to sort out. And I know there is 33.8 and 32.2 MPG from Carl and Tre that are up for grabs, so it's not impossible.
I'd bet their starting 5 will be
Fernandes
CJ Kelly
Weeks
DeGray
Steadman
Bench
Rich Kelly
Garcia
Buttrick
McCrory
Santos
Walker
DD
Kolton
I think the fact that CJ Kelly has 2 years of eligibility left means he'll have a larger role. Steadman will start out of necessity. Rich Kelly will be one of the first two off the bench, and Buttrick will spell Steadman and DeGray. This is what I'm most confident in. After that? No clue. Dibaji, while rail thin, is 6-7 and plays great defense, so he'll have a role. Cairo and Preston both are energy wing players, but who knows what Preston will look like after a year off. I'm honestly not expecting much from DD and Kolton given the depth of the roster, but who knows. All I know is you can't play 13 guys every night. And really, you shouldn't be playing more than 9 on most occasions. It'll be interesting to see how it all plays out.

Re: 2021-2022 Season
I think we’ll run some four guard lineups, too.

Re: 2021-2022 Season
I think Walker is actually 6’9.
I see McCrory moving over as a good fit at SF, too. He rebounds so well and is a tough player.

Agree, Cairo deserves minutes.

Javohn will/should get lots of minutes or he'll be gone.

Re: 2021-2022 Season
Nice job by Natwam on articulating the roster. As it currently stands, MM is going to have a very difficult time figuring out lineups. A lot of similarly sized players with similar skill sets at the 1-3 spots and not enough depth at the 5.

Re: 2021-2022 Season
The could make it much easier to figure out lineups. He will just have got really be aware who of who is struggling. And, I would put the emphasis on who is struggling with defense. shooters gonna shoot.

Re: 2021-2022 Season
The reliance on transfers this year, may actually be a good thin in the long run as it could help balance the classes a bit distribution wise. All of last year’s freshmen are freshmen again. The grad transfers and two year transfers compliment the distribution well, IMO.

That is what is called a personal opinion. Maybe your post is an indication that you're the one not letting it go.
I agree with 69 about the depth among the bigs, and also with Floyd on Garcia. He needs to be an important piece on offense and defense. Fearless, talented. He can really get at it.

^^ Ah shucks. Now I don't have to come up with a snarky reply.
Maybe I'll do a poll question to see how the ardent BB peeps feel about this.

ugh, I try not to be too snarky, especially on an anonymous message board, but Niles gets the snark.
