my guess is Tre is on the move after this season. There is no way Erin and Tony are happy with the lack of playing time.

but...will TB admit he made a mistake...if he did it would be a first! and...could he transfer again without sitting? thought he'd need to get a waiver?PreecherJenkins wrote: ↑Wed Jan 12, 2022 10:09 am my guess is Tre is on the move after this season. Something that stood out to me looking at Tre’s stats is how much his FTA have dropped. He’s playing less minutes but even his fta Per/min or fta per/fga are basically half.
Re: Updates on Former UMass Players Still Playing College Ball
Tre came off the bench today and played 16 minutes in a loss to a good Iowa State team. 7 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist and 4 turnovers. I don't know what scouts look at, but this can't be good for his draft stock. Thanks, Tony.

It's a real shame. The grass is always greener, I guess. I like Tre and wish him the best, but he's obviously not getting the playing time and overall numbers he needs to stand out in the college landscape. If he was still here, we'd probably be enjoying our season a bit more, and he'd be an absolute A10 star.
Same goes for Ronnie DeGray. His Missouri Tigers team is 7-9 (same as us), and believe it or not, lower in the KenPom and NCAA net rankings, and we're not exactly burning up the charts. His numbers are similar to what he had here at UMass too.
Carl Pierre is having a really nice season for Rice, though. Shooting 44% from three along with 15.3 ppg and 4.4 rpg.

However, all 3 are playing for much more credible coaches and programs. Wish them the best & no blame for transferring!

Re: Updates on Former UMass Players Still Playing College Ball
Quick update as several players were in action in the last couple days.
Pierre (Rice 10-6) beat Marshall as Carl had 30 points (career high), 8 3's (ties Rice record, he hit 8 at UMass against Yale) and 7 rebounds. This is after going 1 of 9 (3 pts) the previous game.
Flowers pretty much matched him scoring 30 as LIU beat CCSU. He hit 5 3's and pulled down 7 boards and had 7 assists. Wood had 1 pt and 0 assts.
Gresham (Tex So 5-9) lost to Alcorn. Brison had 6 pts and 4 rebs off the bench.
Clergeot (SELU 9-9) off the bench had 10 pts in a 5 pt win over Northwestern.
Diallo (Marshall 9-4) had 10 pts off the bench in a win over Canisius.
Texas (13-4) has lost 2 of their last 3 as Mitchell scored 7 off the bench in a loss to ranked Iowa St. He didn't play in the previous two games.
DeGray scored 2 off the bench in 23 minutes as Missouri (7-9) lost by 25 to Illinois.
There you have it.

Buggs is 50% from the perimeter on over 100 attempts. (44% off bounce/55% off catch) and is also > 60% at the rim.
2:1 A:TO. Top 5% when looking at P&R efficiency, & is holding the opposition < 30% as primary defender.

Sean East II has been the best JUCO player this year and is a legit prospect to keep an eye on in the future. Has been amazing all season for John A. Logan as they’re currently ranked third in the nation. Will likely be playing at a high major program next season.
