I certainly thought it was something he could achieve... don't know if I felt it would actually happen, but knew he had the talent to do something like this.

^ Do they have a shot at beating Baylor? I've only seen Baylor play one game, but it was damn impressive. Houston seems really well rounded with good complimentary players and good coaching.

I think it will take a lot for them to get past Baylor. DJ, among others on Houston, will likely have to play the best they ever have.
Even with this season being so crazy with the pandemic, it has been hurtling towards a Gonzaga-Baylor Finals since early on... I don't see that changing here, but will be rooting for Houston none-the-less.

Unique McLean is in tonight’s college slam dunk contest on ESPN!

Woah! I tuned it in just in time to see Unique's dunk. His dunk lived up to his name. He had some guy standing a few feet from the hoop holding the ball on his head! Unique leaped over the guy grabbed the ball and dunked it! He's in second place. Apparently he came in second last year. It was great to see him. Thanks, LS.

^ Too bad he couldn’t sustain it.

Strange emotions watching Unique. Still rooting big-time for him on his outstanding first dunk. Not overly upset that the guy who left us converted only a decent, not top-level effort on his second dunk. Then not really caring that he took himself out of the competition on the third dunk, going for big points, when he could have gotten a score for just a simple dunk somewhere in the thirty seconds of the third try. He is one of our guys, but not really.
Anyone see the three-point final competition between the guy and girl? That was impressive.

Chris has found a new home. It seems that a lot of guys who left us ended up transferring again. It's a strange new world in the transfer portal.

I know these types of posts annoy some people, so don’t read any further if you don’t care about former players!!
Ronnie with a double double in 31 minutes, good for him! Can’t blame a guy for leaving if he’s going to get 30 minutes a night for an SEC team.
Tre got 20 minutes off the bench in a blowout. He had a solid stat line. He’s got a legit chance at a national Championship on a STACKED Texas team.
Carl with 13 in 24 minutes.
No other stat lines jumping out, except maybe Sy Chatman with 9 points/10 boards. Glad to see he’s still playing.

Re: Updates on Former UMass Players Still Playing College Ball
In other probably irrelevant news:
Flowers (9 pts) and Wood (4 pts) started for LIU in a crushing 34 pt loss to San Francisco;
Gresham did not play for Texas Southern in 40 pt loss to Texas College;
Clergeot started (7, 2, 3) in 3 pt loss to Tulane;
Diallo in 16 minutes off the bench scored 9 with 6 rebs in monster 99-42 win over Manhattanville (I didn't know this existed);
Pierre, Mitchell, DeGray and Chatman covered above.

Eh this is why I tried to consolidate it all in one thread so people can avoid this if they don't care. Instead of seeing bits and pieces here and there all over the board. There are still so many former players playing this year that this thread will still hold value IMO.Worcester_To_Amherst wrote: ↑Wed Nov 10, 2021 7:16 am I know these types of posts annoy some people, so don’t read any further if you don’t care about former players!!

Thanks for this thread. I'm really interested in how these guys are doing. Where is Chatman playing?
