That drops us down to 11 for next year plus the 2 new recruits. There is some question about TJ but I read somewhere that his medical redshirt from his 1st year was approved. He'll be a 6 year player with the Covid exemption.

Of course, we have always lost a player or 2 that we didn't expect, so I would wager that we have at least 1 open spot next year.
Wouldn’t be shocked to see dyondre leave also wouldn’t be shocked if Noah and TJ end up leaving.
Why do you think Noah ??

^ Any particular reason for TJ and Noah? They will get plenty of minutes. If the team does well and they feel like there's a shot at the NCAA tournament in 2023 I would think they would stay.

DD will really have to fight to get minutes. We have a very deep frontcourt this year and he will have to show Frank he can play defense and rebound if he wants to see the court. Who knows, maybe he'll surprise us. After all, he elected to stay when so many others decided to leave.

TJ will have been here for 4 years should be graduating may want to be like Carl and transfer and play basketball elsewhere. Also Frank just picked up another two wing players. See my other post for Noah

He’s a 5 college mover athlete and you can buy his merch but hard to see him making the nil money that would compare to overseas pay

Saw on Twitter that Frank’s kid, Brandon, is joining the team and I think he’s on scholarship for this year.

UMass still working on their 2023 class with Weston native Sawyer Mayhugh (@SawyerMayhugh) coming in on an OV this weekend
Minutemen wing commit Robert Davis (@robertdav1sjr) is also coming for his OV this weekend
Mayhugh plays for Brewster (prep) and Expressions Elite (AAU). Both are very good programs. He's listed as a 6'10 PF. I saw 1 clip of him and he's not all that athletic but it looks like he can shoot. Anyone know more about him?

sounds like a Euro type player, which we've been lacking a bit.
All due respect, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart, I'm gonna pass.

Sounds like Robert Davis is joining Mayhugh on campus this weekend along with Comeh Emuobor, a NC native prepping at Brewster this year. Sounds like a big, strong athletic guard who has some high major interest. Interesting possibility. Read that Martin was recruiting him at SC before coming here.

Comeh Emuobor would be a big time get for UMass.

I’m always licking my chops for players who choose UMass over Illinois, Alabama, Texas A&M, Virginia Tech, UCF, USF, South Carolina.

The Frank Martin effect.
