7 foot center from Springfield and from what I can tell, no offer from UMass.

thoughts?
He's got 17 offers, including KY and a bunch of other Power 5 schools. I don't think we have much of a chance.

Right now, we probably can't land a guy like that.

Let's see what Frank can does over the next two years. I'm hoping that, come year 3, we've started to make a statement by upping the talent level and playing with a lot of heart.

We have an awesome base of talent for FM to work with now. When was the last time we had this many 4-star players? Not since Cal.

Next two players we get for next year might not be as high level as what we just added so far due to the amount of likely PT. But they could still play a key role as role players who add depth and provide insurance against injuries.

I hope we offer a full 13 scholarships. Those guys on Cal's teams that barely played were very important to the success of the team. Practice matters, despite what Iverson thinks.

I think we can make a statement next year and build on it further in the '23 recruiting market!

Not necessarily disagreeing, but was more curious why no offer to a kid in our backyard.

I think kids are gonna want to see what direction the program is heading before these kids consider UMass. Adding Frank is a great start, but until it shows on the court and we make some noise, its gonna be tough getting these top rated kids. Give it some time I think and we'll be fine

Just did a little reading on Miranda. He plays at Springfield Commonwealth but he's from Pawtucket.

If a kids got dreams of playing at a Kentucky/Duke/UNC/Arizona etc. he's not going to consider UMass right out of high school.

Tafara Gapare has committed to DePaul.

“I’m class of 2023 right now, but I could go (to college) this year, or I could go next year,” Gapare said to On3.

Anyone dreaming of Estella can just about forget it. Offered by Duke today.

That was a pipe dream from Day 1 when we offered.

No matter how small the chance might be, better to offer than not. Never know

Lot of these high end offers are unlikely to pay off but they set things up for a possible transfer down the road.

This. Who cares about duke. We offered, we’re in the running.

Estrella isn’t coming here but you keep recruiting him even after he enrolls someplace else because you never know in the portal era

^ Roberts was offered by the old staff in July, 2021. I don't know if the new staff has reached out to him or to any other players offered by the old staff.

Gotcha, thanks. Rivals has him as a lock to go to Indiana, so not sure how serious this really was.
