Just thought of him today in another thread apropos of players getting run off.

I was really wrong about East. I thought he was fine but wasn’t sure how much better he would get and damn he’s put it together it sounds like. Down to BYU, Oregon, Kentucky, Clemson, Missouri, and South Florida. That’s crazy.

I just admitted I was wrong on a message board. That wasn’t too hard, actually. Really wrong, even.

Don’t beat yourself up. Niles practically led a one man campaign to run East, so you being “wrong” is modest by comparison.

we are all guilty of expecting too much out of Freshmen, me included. Sometimes it takes a few years for guys to become their best.

Have players transferred back to schools they’ve left?

I’ve seen a surprising number of people return to the company I work for after they’ve left to work elsewhere over the last year.

Sure, objective criticism is tantamount to running someone off the team.

At UMass he showed promise on the offensive side, but was not very good defensively. Looks like his 1 year at Bradley was also solid, but unspectacular.

I guess I should just look at his JUCO resume and admit I was wrong about him playing D1?

I still think East will have difficulty in a top conference. Don't see how he could have developed his deficiencies in JC.

I do like him, but I fear that he will have trouble.

If he goes to, say, Kentucky, those deficiencies aren't going to matter as he likely won't see the court much. I think he'd be better suited coming back to an A10 level school.

“Traps.” Yes, traps. Amusing. Pathetic, but amusing. Sort of.

Niles and I have regularly disagreed on hoops, but I am going to go out on a limb here and guess he doesn’t care to take advice from a dude who proudly references “3rd world shithole” countries in his profile.

Does JG's departure open the door for Sean to return to UMass?
