I'd say another year and Upstate will develop into a very useable contributor to the team.

I'm KAEO Upstate
Re: KAEO: Javohn Garcia
I dunno. A guy I know says he's seen Upstate hanging out around the Boneyard lately
Re: KAEO: Javohn Garcia
You got it backwards. The Boneyard is hanging around Upstate.

Listen I lived in Sylvan so I can take a joke about who I associate with but the Boneyard is a step too far

I've seen some tape on Upstate but you know what Niles says, you can't tell much from tape.

Use the cheat sheet, if you haven't already.TheInsider wrote: ↑Thu Mar 11, 2021 7:08 am He should have made the All-Rookie team. His numbers were better than a couple on the team and as good as the others. For example, based on pure numbers:
Garcia - 10.4 ppg, 2.47 rpg, 2.6 apg, 23 steals and 10 blocks in 15 games
Amzil (Dayton) - 9.8 ppg, 5.5 rpg, 1.2 apg, 11 steals and 8 blocks in 18 games
Brickus (LaSalle) - 8.8 ppg, 1.9 rpg, 1.2 apg, 45 steals and 2 blocks in 25 games
Garcia is a guard and Amzil is a 6'10 forward so the rebounds and assists make sense but Garcia was a better scorer and a better defender. More blocks than a 6'10 guy in less games.
Brickus is a guard so its more apples to apples. Garcia had more points, more rebounds and more assists. Brickus had a lot more steals but played 25 games. It works out to 1.8 steals per game and Garcia was 1.5. Oh and Garcia destroyed him with blocks

Awful news yesterday about the passing of Terrence Clarke. He was a Boston kid, and I believe a teammate of Javohn's at Brewster Academy. I think it would be a wonderful gesture if the Celtics took him with a late draft pick.

Wow, terrible news. These young kids have had a tough, tough year with Covid and now this. Clarke family must be devastated

Wow this really hit home for the guys. Not easy looking a close friend and teammate that early. A life taken, just like that. Javohn's name is popping up in other threads, but I'm refreshing the primary also.
Warning signs lately with completely losing this guy.
Played 13 minutes, shot 2-3 for 4 points in the opener, but picked up 4 fouls and was limited that way.
Played 21 minutes at Yale, struggled with 2-8 shooting.
Didn't get off the bench versus Penn State.
Only got 2 minutes today versus Weber.
Last season, he was a double-digit scorer and got nearly 26 minutes a game. If this near-term trend keeps up, I wouldn't be surprised at all if he hits the portal by the end of the semester.

If he was in concussion protocol, he might pull himself together. Remember Gasperini looked awful at first last year after a concussion. It takes time.
