2022 Recruiting
Re: 2022 Recruiting
Has anyone heard anything about Javohn? He was the first to enter the portal and I'm surprised he hasn't found a home. I still hold out hope that he comes back as I think he would do well in Frank's system.
Re: 2022 Recruiting
I don't know much about him but saw this quote in an article about him. Seems like Frank's kind of player:Jackson96 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 11, 2022 7:51 am Saw on Twitter that we’ve reached out to some kid named Remington Rofer out of Los Angeles who I think prepped at Scotland Campus last year a post grad. 6-7 supposed to be a good shooter, ok athlete. Looks like he’s gotten interest from a variety of schools at a variety of levels.
I don’t think you can ever have enough shooting these days so I get it.
He took 25 charges in 27 games. His work ethic reflects in his playing style. Charge through all your obstacles and take it to the rack.

So unless a grad transfer comes in, every player will have eligibility left after the 2022-23 season, I think.

I believe ULowell is the school that reached out to Rofer if I saw the tweets correctly
Re: 2022 Recruiting
Yeah you’re right. Missed that Lowell part of the tweet. Reading is hard sometimes. I did see that Steele is following him so maybe there is some interest.

I know nothing about their situation, but I would like Javohn and Cairo back. They can play ok. They won't be in line for a lot of PT but if there are injuries they could get on the court and do some good things.

Re: 2022 Recruiting
People here really do need psychotherapy, the only ship players returning are Noah, Diondre & TJ. The new roster is out and that's that! Not to mention McCrory just announced he's in the portal!
Re: 2022 Recruiting
Wait, this is the reason you think some board members need psychotherapy?

Re: 2022 Recruiting
Maybe it's just me, but having the thought that a player might change his mind about transferring doesn't seem like a reason for getting psychotherapy.

12 players listed. Room for 3 more.

Really think we need more bodies to practice at a high level.
10 scholarships are not enough. We need a couple guys with some experience and maybe another freshman like Tyriek.

Seems like Frank was aggressive at first, building his base roster. Right now, he seems exceptionally patient with 3 ships to offer and a dwindling supply of transfers.

Re: 2022 Recruiting
would you rather him waste a scholarship on a guy who does not fit the system or culture to have bodies to practice? I do not see it as a big deal whatsoever that you do not use every scholarship if you cannot get the right guy on campus.
