Well we’ve stunk since I enrolled at UMass so an overhaul is welcomed by me. Lol.

He said he wouldn’t run anyone off. This is a lot of turnover.
That's semantics. Perhaps he's politely encouraging them to seek other opportunities elsewhere.

Whatever. It's his ship now. Put your big boy pants on. This is high level D1.

The writing was clear for all that left. Dibaji only one that could have gone either way but minutes weren’t going be that high

I wonder is Shaquille Walter's from NU would be a good fit for SF. Started the last 3 years there. One year of eligibility left. We could use some experience. 6th year guy. Has talent. Weakness is offensive boards but otherwise very solid.

I don't think he ran the guys off because Dominguez is still around. Maybe he let them know what their prospects were and they made their choices. But DD was/is probably the least competent scholarship player on the team. I doubt he'll get off the bench. Maybe he and his dad decided the best thing for his basketball future was to get coached up by a guy like Martin.

I think Dominguez has potential. If Frank could instill confidence and toughness, he has the size and talent to be at least a solid backup 3/4.

Pretty spot on description of the transfers. I think the bigs will do what they did as SC, but Cross and Diggins need to be legitimate contributors or else this transfer haul looks much less inspiring.

That writeup seemed encouraging to me. Nice.

The trajectory is finally up for UMASS Basketball. How high we go no one knows but the ride will be fun which was sorely lacking in the past Dozen seasons or so!

Lurking just outside the hype train line. Too many times I've had my hopes bludgeoned and kicked to the curb.

To go from 2 open spots to 4 makes me think that Frank has a couple of players ready to commit that we haven't heard about. Purely speculation but it seemed a little strange to post a roster minus 2 guys who we thought were staying.

Personally, I highly doubt that. But, regardless, do you think Martin "ran off" Dibaji and Cairo and Garcia etc etc etc and decided that Dominguez was the guy he wanted to keep?

No. I'd have preferred the other 3 stay over Dominguez and I'm guessing Frank doesn't figure Dominguez playing a big part in his plans. But he's 6'8" and a decent shooter so I'd say he could contribute with the right coaching. I'm guessing Dominguez really wanted to stay, so he's staying.
