Would be a good addition. Fingers crossedDoctorJ wrote: ↑Sun Jun 19, 2022 5:22 pm Yes on 6/15/2019 per VC.
Also, Warren Williams from Manhattan just entered the portal as a grad transfer. He is a PF 6-9 240, and started 3 out of 4 years in the MAAC. He would rank high compared to a lot of what is currently in the portal.

2022 Recruiting
Re: 2022 Recruiting
Re: 2022 Recruiting
Williams played with old friend Samba Diallo for 2 years at Manhattan. Not sure if it helps or hurts in our recruiting efforts. I would be fine if we landed Simmons and Williams. They would provide depth and Simmons is similar to many of the transfers that Frank has brought in. Simmons was highly rated coming out of HS and has a ton of upside. He was the #1 player in Mass and Gianni was #2.
Re: 2022 Recruiting
Tykei Greene leaving via transfer from Stonybrook via Manhattan. Was a four-year starter. Shot over forty percent on threes last year. SG 6-4. https://www.espn.com/mens-college-baske ... kei-greene
He'd be interesting if he's immediately available, perhaps.
I'm starting to think Frank is more interested in new recruits, compared to transfers at this point. But we are not hearing about any offers for this season in weeks. After N'Guessan announced, we haven't heard much from the team other than a PWO and a new video guy.
Hoping to hear more soon. Can't imagine we're going with 10 + 3WO next year.

PWO = preferred walk-on
Not to be confused with POW. That's an entirely different thing.

There is a new video from hoops on YouTube. Really good. Frank talks about all the new players plus TJ and Noah.

Re: 2022 Recruiting
Well produced video. Coach speaks about some of the players. 30 minutes long. In case anyone wanted to skip to a player:
6:20 Frank Martin
8:32 Wildens
9:45 Woodley
10:55 Cross
12:45 Rashool
14:45 Gianni
19:30 RJ Luis
21:45 Keon Thompson
33:09 Interview with Wildens

Re: 2022 Recruiting
Well put together segment. I'm not worried about the remaining 2 spots. Theres a lot of talent on this team. Unless we get a ton of injuries, we'll be ok. This is a well built roster, talent all over the floor. Frank Martin just looks like a great fit here
Time to Win
Re: 2022 Recruiting
If Wildens goes down in conference play, we would be in big trouble. Need another backup big as good as Amadasun and Venning, who the Bonnies got. The best programs in A10 have more front-court depth going into next year.
Where is our Enos Norville? Or Ted Cottrell? Need that in practice and situational.
Our 2 freshman look awesome. Love what Frank says about them.

Re: 2022 Recruiting
I have 4 years of eligibility and have some socks that I can hitch up pretty high on my legs. I'm only 6'2" though, so wouldn't be much of an obstacle for the big guys.
Good video, btw, especially interesting to hear about what Martin's connections to each player were, and his insights on the freshmen. I didn't realize Allen Edwards was on his staff. He got off to a decent start up in Laramie, WY as head coach, but didn't sustain it. He got a helluva coup, getting Hunter Maldonado to join him at Wyoming vs. going to a Colorado school though.
