I loved Cairo's game when he got real minutes during the covid season. Think he is a versatile defender with offensive potential that can be really good under Frank.

I agree. Tenacious, tough kid who plays D and has better offensive game than we've seen. I think he's a Frank Martin type guy. Hope he sticks around

This is interesting. He's more of an inside player than Cross and an inch or two taller. He also doesn't have the baggage that Cross has (6 schools in 6 years). He is not the shooter that Cross is, but I think a better defender and rebounder.

BC transfer F Gianni Thompson (SO) will be on an official visit at UMass today, per sources. Newton MA native, 6-8, 210.

Former 4 recruit was #1 MA prospect in 2021 class, 171st nationally (@247Sports).

Video from Adam Finklestein projected him as a mismatch 4. He’s that modern 4 good body athletic but can hit from 3 or put it on the floor and attack the hoop from the mid and high post. Cross to me is a little more perimeter oriented than Thompson more a knockdown shooter. Dibaji is hybrid of the them both in many ways. In the A-10 as we saw with buttrick you can steal some minutes playing a guy like Thompson at the 5 if Woodley and levesque are having foul trouble issues

If URI takes TB they will most likely get Tre and Femi…TB was very tight with Femi

I think a guy like Thompson fits what we need more than Cross.. plus I don't think he was thrown off his team his freshman year

Offseason, What do you think the odds are of Tre and TB going to Bryant? Bryant was on Tre's transfer list a year ago, and I think I saw somewhere that they have been bringing in some very talented kids recently.

I'd certainly welcome him and give him a chance, but I'd prefer we stay away from Cross. I feel there's too many red flags there.
