^ Quick Question....
Who is the best UM BB recruit from Baltimore in history?
Donta Bright.
Stop waiting for UMass to do something big and help UMass do something big. - Shades

^Is that the Ricky Harris effect - already going after some hometown Baltimore recruits!
Neither recruit specifically mentioned Ricky but it's certainly possible. There is a boatload of talent in the DMV and we have had good luck down there in the past.

Seems like these are 2* recruits who our staff project to be at least 3 to 4* at the end of this upcomong season... Hope we can get a couple.
All due respect, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart, I'm gonna pass.

7/18/2021 - 2022 PG Bryce Lindsay (6-3, 160, 2★) has received an offer from Massachusetts.
Saw a video and he looks like the real deal (grain of salt -- it's just a highlight video). However, his last 4 offers prior to our were:
Va. Tech
Marquette
Xavier
Pitt
I put more stock in that than the video, but the video is impressive.

Amid all the talk about players from Baltimore, Christian Winborne who had an offer from UMass among many, many offers, chose St. Joe's. His offers included Xavier, LSU, Harvard, Seton Hall, Yale, Rutgers, VCU and several more.

Would love to get some recruiting momentum going. Going to have a decent amount of production to replace if things go as we imagine they will this year.

I think this is going to be a weird recruiting cycle/time. Recruits/handlers aren't oblivious, I'm sure they're well aware that McCall is on the hot seat and might be fired at the end of this season, so it's going to be a harder sell to get someone committed to UMass right now.

Maybe a good sign or maybe nothing, but we haven't had much news lately.

^It looked like one of Tony Bergeron's guys coached Springfield Commonwealth last year, and I just noticed Antonio Anderson, who played under Coach Cal at Memphis, and who's brother, Anthony, of course, played for us, is now the coach of Springfield Commonwealth.

9/9/2021 - 2022 C Silas Sunday (7-0, 290, 2★) has received an offer from Massachusetts.
He had offer from Rutgers, Wake, St. John's, Illinois and others in 2020 and nothing since. Will have to do some research to see what happened.
