35 years in a row...36 years overall.

We really missed being able to attend games this year. The grandkids missed going and it felt like UMass was ready to compete for an A-10 title...and now this.

Maybe next year I mix it up a bit...some men’s games, some women’s games and some hockey.

Updating TJ's page, and just noticed his scoring this season...
In wins, 8.4 ppg
In losses, 11.3 ppg

Unfortunately he had his season high (16) in the Davidson loss. He also had four 14-point games, three of which were Ls.

Contributing to those numbers in wins was when he tweaked his knee in the home win over La Salle, then played limited minutes when he came back in the next game, the home win vs Rhody.

Probably all meaningless in the grand scheme, but they just stood out a bit.

Mike, don't do that. Saw his name at the top of the page and thought, no not TJ now.

Those numbers are probably coincidental. His role was odd in that some nights McCall didn't know when to use him and when to bench him. I don't know how the addition of CJ Kelly (which UMass officially announced today) will affect his role this year, but hopefully he's allowed to get into a rhythm and show what he can do. He's like Pierre but with a little more athleticism. I can't wait to see how he develops, a full season should be fun to watch.

Those are exactly my thoughts. A lot like Carl, but maybe a better slasher and defender. We'll see.

TJ was not used right last year IMO. I don't think he has to be a starter, but he should have gotten a lot more minutes. He has the ability to score going to the hoop and shooting from outside and I'd like to see him get 25-30 minutes a game.

He averaged 26 minutes per game in his first season, and that was reduced to 20.5 this past year. He didn't shoot the ball as well as he did during that scorching first 10-game season, so maybe that was it, but I think it was more about McCall's loyalty to Pierre. In the final 4 games this past season, his minutes were 31, 19, 15, and then 13, decreasing every week until the team was eliminated, and foul trouble was never an issue. I agree, 25-30 minutes unless he's limited by fouls or injury.
