Game 13 - 2018-19 - Georgia 12/30/18

It’s hard work digging out of a hole. Think we started off like a team that just had a long break. If we had hit some threes we would be right there but we haven’t. Think it was a tough stretch when we cut it to 5 at 32-27 and got a decent look from three for Laurent. He missed. UGA then banged in a three. Pip missed front end of a one and one and Georgia scored again. Then that last 3 at the end was a dagger.

Defense wasn’t 43 points bad - think UGA did hit some contested shots...they just have a size and athleticism advantage which allowed them to shoot over us and also get some offensive rebounds. Still don’t know what kind of defensive identity we have out there though...I guess we seem to take a lot of charges?

Pip and Carl need to get cooking from deep or else I don’t think we have much of a chance to pull this one out.

Ok, they played pretty well that half, we didnt, and only down 11. Ramp up the D, hit our shots, and we can win this.

Still seem a little unsettled offensively. Looks like we're just out of sync, no flow besides Pip being able to create anytime he wants. Samba continues to impress, very opportunistic player

Baptiste will help us once he settles in. Active big guy for sure

Not sure how the line was so small at first. Georgia is far better team than UMass talent wise. They controlled us in every aspect of the game.

Carl Pierre is so key for this team. When he scores, they win. Tonight, 1-7 for 2 points so far tonight, and things aren't exactly going well. I'd love to see him step up and play more consistently.

I was just noticing that as well. Djery got 5 rebounds in 9 minutes in his first action since who knows when, and RH get his first in what is getting very close to garbage time.

Not sure how you can be that big and have the ball stripped from you so easily. We were completely outplayed and out coached today, plain and simple. Hope it was a good lesson before conference play, ready to move on.

Just a shitty all around game for the whole team. At some point I'd like someone who knows more about basketball to explain to me what their offense actually is supposed to be doing. The only successful plays seem to be Pipkins in isolation going to the basket or finding someone randomly open beyond the 3 pt line.
