2021 Recruiting
Re: 2021 Recruiting
We still need to land 2 bigs with one scholarship. Very concerned about the team for next year.

^ I think we all know how you feel about the # of bigs on the team, yes?
Re: 2021 Recruiting
^ and I think we all know how you feel about people that hold that opinion, yes?
Re: 2021 Recruiting
^ This is more about the fact that he continually asserts this particular opinion without adding any new information, or adding anything to the discussion... not about the opinion itself, even though I disagree with it. But I do think with the departure of DeGray, adding another big, or at least a very good rebounding wing or forward would probably be a good idea.

"Joryam Saizonou, a 6'3 point guard from Beckley Prep in West Virginia, has committed to St. Bonaventure, he told ESPN. Saizonou played for the Netherlands junior national team at the FIBA level and was invited to the NBA Basketball Without Borders Europe camp in 2019."
Mark Schmidt being Mark Schmidt. Another diamond in the rough. The Bonnies are so lucky to have him.

Re: 2021 Recruiting
They really are lucky. His record at Robert Morris wasn't all that great when the Bonnies hired him. And after he proved himself--which took a while--BC was too stupid or snobby to hire him.

Oh, and he does it again. Just like that!
"Linton Brown, one of the best shooters in the junior college ranks, has committed to St. Bonaventure, he told ESPN. The 6'5 Brown made 48% of his 3-pointers at Indian River on over six attempts per game. Named conference's player of the year."

This may or may not mean much, but McCall has started following Kevin Garnett and Joe Biden on Twitter.

I remember when we were recruiting him from Woodstock. I don't know what our current relationship is with Woodstock but I liked his game. He has a potential 3 years to play.Lauren Walsh

Why would we offer a SG for this season? Other person(s) must be leaving.

Re: 2021 Recruiting
Seems to be an SG. I still would prefer another big, like that guy from Hartford.

or the 7 footer from South Florida that just backed out on VT. He'd be the fix we need.

Maybe it is an old offer before the Kelly’s committed. I think it is common to have tons of offers out there at any one point.DoctorJ wrote: ↑Tue May 11, 2021 4:34 pm https://www.verbalcommits.com/players/chase-ross
