With our roster right now no A10 team should lose to us. Our guys play hard but we are just so undermanned. We have played 3 walkons today in the flow of the game. I have never seen that.
That’s an excuse. The regulars played poorly from the start. I understand their situation but this performance is unacceptable.

Its not an excuse.. we can barley field a team. So when a couple guys arent shooting well you have NO ONE ELSE to go to.

Doesn’t explain losing by 20 at home to team that is 3-9 in the league.

Actually, I think it explains it quite well.

^ agree completely. Can't understand why BR72 doesn't think it explains it.

Other than CJ, who do you think played well tonight? My answer is no one. That is not explained by the missing players.

Other than Pierre and Pipkins there is no reliable scorer on this team so if one or both are having bad nights than bad things happen. It's not complicated. On a deeper team if both were having bad nights there might be other players to count on. That's just not the case for this team.

Only real size we have is Malik, and early fouls hurt him. GW controlled the glass. We didn't shoot well and like 87 said, there aren't many options right now

Terrible offensive performance, too few weapons, and some really bad shot selection. Height advantage stood out for GW.

They did try to hard to get back into the game, but to me this was just about not enough reliable talent, and no height.

Mullins was an echo chamber tonight.

Not just talking about scoring but in all facets of the game. GW scored almost 20 points above their average and MM was very critical of the interior defense in the game. He also mentioned that they need to compete harder, citing West as an rxample. The issue at this point is not winning or losing. I M neither surprised nor disappointed that they lost. I am disappointed in how they competed.

It is possible to both A) be outmanned and B) not play particularly well.

I didn't even see the game so I don't know how they played. Certainly didn't shoot well which happens. Defensively it sounds like they struggled partially because of their lack of size and depth and also because, well, they struggled.

This has been a rough finish to a tough year. Most of that is lack of size and players no doubt. Losing Holloway really hurt them at both ends (I think more than I expected given the year he was having), but they also haven't played well defensively for awhile now - that is the one thing that has me concerned a little bit (even if I shouldn't be concerned about anything given the situation). Is it lack of size, tired legs, something else or a bunch of things? Then I realize I just need to chill and be patient.

Just ready to see what McCall can do when he has a full roster and more of his guys. I think the overachieving in the non conference had me expecting more in conference play in what is a down year in the A-10, but things just piled up.

It seemed we had no shot after missing the first 6 shots. GW wasn't good, but they were much bigger in the front court and the resulting second chance points were a major factor in their victory. We've lost 3 front court players since the season began and wins have become rare. I think we just have to gut out the rest of the season, hold it together as much as possible and lay the foundation for next season, which is what MM is trying to do.
All due respect, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart, I'm gonna pass.
