Injured, nothing serious from what I understand. Diallo is still on board and the recruitment of Easley is not a reflection of anything amiss with Diallo.
I'm now questioning what I was told about this. It's not out of the question that Easley's recruitment is tied to the health of Diallo. Just throwing this out there, but perhaps McCall still wants Diallo but will ask him to take a RS year at UMass or even a prep year first and thus also wants Easley for next year.
Ignore my prior post. I don't think the injury is major or will have long-lasting effects, he'll still be at UMass next year.

I saw an Instagram that he tore his acl but he is already in the gym getting shots up. Probably won't play the high school season. I still expect him to come to umass year one but wouldn't be shocked if he red shirted. The injury happened in August

Agreed with this wholeheartedly. ACL tears are not all the same and as excited as I was for Samba to come here next year, a RS season to get 1000% healthy and strong in the knee again wouldn't be the worst thing in the world given our depth at the 2/3/wing. Still very much looking forward to seeing Diallo in the maroon and white.

Very impressive, especially considering he missed his HS season with that knee injury.

Reason #158 why I don't put too much stock in the rankings.

Samba is on campus this weekend. Has been in here since Friday. Coach posted a photo with him. The kid is big https://twitter.com/coachmattmccall/sta ... 9937515520
